Oh my god

“ JUST IN: The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office reportedly sent out an alert to local police warning of racist extremist groups it said are encouraging their members to spread the novel coronavirus to police with spray bottles and Jewish people at places of worship.”

Good plan.

Read a different article that explains it. They're distributing based on population. Also, Florida basically requested its quota. New Jersey requested 10x its quota and only got its quota, so it only got a fraction of its request. You could easily spin it as New Jersey requesting the entire national stockpile rather than only getting a fraction of its request.

You can argue whether the allocation should be primarily based on population, but in this case I'm not seeing anything nefarious.

I hope that’s it. But right now NY and a few others need more. Florida gov thinks this is a joke and kept everything open- so screw them

"The system appears to roughly conform to states’ populations, rather than the size of their requests. Florida, a state of 21 million, got all 180,000 N95 masks it wanted. Oregon, a state of 4 million, only received 40,000 of the 400,000 masks it requested, and New Jersey, a state of 9 million, got 85,000 of the 2.9 million masks it feels it needs."

That’s more reassuring. Is there a source reporting these numbers?

Finally some relief?

Reports that Harvey Weinstein caught it at Rikers and is now in isolation. I can't even offer thoughts and prayers to that d-bag.

Fade, you’re probably right (re: d1 thread). I need to unsubscribe. The hydroxychloroquine post set me off and I deleted my post.

Yeah they’re not worth it. Don’t expect them to have reading comprehension

Key takeaways:

1.) We're united. Very united
2.) The virus is vicious, and the virus is Chinese.

Re: Covfefe-19 - Part 4- Stay the **** Home

New US deaths by date:

Code:
3/01 0
3/02 5
3/03 3
3/04 2
3/05 1
3/06 3
3/07 4
3/08 3
3/09 4
3/10 4
3/11 8
3/12 3
3/13 8
3/14 8
3/15 11
3/16 18
3/17 23
3/18 41
3/19 57
3/20 49
3/21 46

It was a false flat. The day's not over and worldmeters has 58 deaths in NY alone, 112 for the US.

Testing began in NYC in earnest a few days ago so I expected the case numbers to blow up (which they have) but the death spike seems to indicate we're seeing the disease spread and kill in real time. Unless there were deaths from it going undiagnosed before. Here's a medically ignorant question for our docs: if somebody died from it say last week would it be identified or could it have been characterized as death by a different cause? Do you have to be looking for it or does it announce itself?

That’s nice, and will be used to show why we shouldn’t have any federal gov. “See, private sector can just do it”
