I assumed he was just a rich libertarian as-shole playing at "doctor" but he actually did go to Duke Medical School. I don't know if he was a good student (based on his general intellectual processes likely not) but it's not like he went to Liberty.

Well, the ChiComs were welding/physically barricading sick people shut inside their homes. No way in hell that happens in America, satisfying as it would be to do that to, say, the Republican members of the Senate and entire Fox prime time lineup. :)

MD has shut all non essential businesses as of 5pm today. Shelter in place is not on the menu as of now.

Police have authority to disperse gatherings over 10 people.

It's not perfectly overlapping, but the principles are the same. Have people in the bullpen, paid, for when people on the manufacturing line get sick, the backups can come in and keep production moving.

Trying to retool existing lines is a big waste of money and resources. They're all far too specialized.

The Feds are doing nothing, a lot of others are hustling. The GOP cares about enriching their donors. Dump cares about enriching himself. They are each useless. But I am certain there are corporations out there scrambling to capitalize (literally) on this, and of course there are also millions of health care professionals who are actually busting a hump to serve other people, those socialist losers.

Michigan is now shelter in place- "Stay Home, Stay Safe" is the name- well more accurately 12:01am tomorrow, and for the next 3 weeks.

Kentucky also has a shelter-in-place, but ours is called the "Healthy at Home" directive, starting at 8pm tonight, so major news outlets don't consider it a shelter-in-place, even though it has the exact same restrictions as a shelter-in-place order.

Here's what's really frustrating- if GOP leaders keep doing nothing for their own states, then the nation will end up being dragged down by that, while other states have done much more much quicker. It's *possible* that Michigan pulls out much sooner than other states, but we will have to stay locked down because other states will end up in utter crisis.

It's infuriating that GOP leaders are encouraging their donors to make money on this situation. Which will certainly be called fake news when we all find out who made a bunch of money making masks and hand sanitizer at a huge premium. Maybe we can actually get a large amount of people asking if we REALLY have to profit on every single aspect of our lives... I'm getting tired of asking that question.

Our government needs to make remote voting the #1AAA priority now. It's spreading and we can't afford to lose too many people where a quorum is no longer possible.
