Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

Fed injecting an unprecidented *second* bump *today* into the market after doing one last night. This would be the third one in a week.

Trump is panicking and the Fed is trying to placate him.

I am not a physician or health care professional but I know we have health care professionals posting here and hopefully they can speak a little to this topic: I have heard from other people -- who I consider informed and reliable -- that if you have or suspect you have Covid-19 that you should avoid NSAID types of fever/pain medication, such as aspirin, and or ibuprofen (Advil is a common brand) or naproxen (Aleve). Use of acetaminophen (Tylonol) may be recommended instead. If possible can one of our professionals speak a little about this?

IINM this is the most progressive measure by any governor so far. Good for him!

I wonder if most/all of the blue governors will follow? I assume the reds will pray to Freedumb and perish.

You do realize that in a number of red states we actually have to get in our car and drive 10 minutes to get within six feet of another human, right? :p

They’re all good antipyretics. Tylenol is very hard on the liver.

Just a quick look at Wikipedia seems to indicate ibuprofen can exacerbate asthma. But hard to know what effect it would have on someone without asthma. It can also be hard on the kidneys, which I seem to remember being a risk factor for covid.

Edit: it looks like acetaminophen has a link to worsened asthma as well. Maybe less so.

1) is this cat a real sherif?
2) is he telling people to ignore his formerly lawful commands and shoot his arse?

1) Yes. Former. Former Milwaukee County Sheriff from 2002 to 2017. And 20+ years on the Milwaukee Police Department.

2) He has a record of not being lawful himself.

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

Just had a team conference call and was told that we’re probably getting word that our voluntary work from home through end of March will now become mandatory through mid April.

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

we're now reducing on-site research staff by 75%. Shift work to maintain animal colonies and critical lab projects (including work that directly relates to Covid-19 with a timeline for deployment that could address the current crisis). Non-critical experiments must be wrapped up by the end of week.

I'm now 100% remote for the foreseeable future (estimate is next 6 weeks)

He used to be sane, back when he first ran. I even voted for him. And I'm a bleeding heart liberal.
