Deborah birx calling millennials out specifically to stop having social events.

Re: Covfefe 19: now in 3D

I literally LOL'd at the story of one of Trumps sons (I assume Eric) asking "Daddy, how bad is it going to get?"

Why doesn’t someone ask him what he thought of Mitch McConnell taking the weekend off? And get a confirmation from him that he’s not going to go golfing till things better?

Real estate is dirt cheap. There's a beautiful 3-bedroom just over the border that is on the market for $30K. There are houses all over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia that have very low prices.

that's because the economy is not great in rural New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. There is no demand for the homes as people leave to find work elsewhere.

I had been looking at condos in Quebec City, and you can still find some reasonably priced apartments located in historic buildings in the heart of old Quebec (without parking), there were plenty of modern $500K-1M units. Other extreme: I was on Campobello last summer and looked at some real-estate while I was there. The situation is quite sad -- lots of abandoned homes (some in serious disrepair, falling down). The economy was struggling and it's a major pain in the *** for residents to have to cross an international border twice on the way to visit their doctor and twice on the way back. Coming from MDI, prices for places with waterfront or water views blew my mind.

Trump rates his response to this crisis as a 10 out of 10.

Maybe on the pH scale?

For only the fifth time in history LL Bean is closing. It will be the first time it has ever closed for over 24 hours. It is a point of pride in new employee orientation that there are no locks on the doors. The only times it has closed was when LL died, his son died, his grandson Leon Gorman died and when JFK was assassinated. Even when the store was on fire it didn't close.

I am not a physician or health care professional but I know we have health care professionals posting here and hopefully they can speak a little to this topic: I have heard from other people -- who I consider informed and reliable -- that if you have or suspect you have Covid-19 that you should avoid NSAID types of fever/pain medication, such as aspirin, and or ibuprofen (Advil is a common brand) or naproxen (Aleve). Use of acetaminophen (Tylonol) may be recommended instead. If possible can one of our professionals speak a little about this?

Honestly I think he has been doing a great job all things considered. Living in Ohio for the last 5 years, I cannot think of many times I have approved of how this state has handled things. I fully support how aggressive he has been and hope he continues to push, as the public cannot be trusted to do this without strong nudging.

I think too early to tell. We were discussing this at work today and you can basically have 4 people in the room and 6 opinions. Our hospital has some (probably the most in the state), but not enough, experience with this right now for me to give you anecdotal evidence.

It comes down to what you are affecting in the complex physiologic pathways and why people die. We know how NSAIDs (and corticosteroids) affect the general pathway but no great idea how that fits in with Covid-19. I could speculate further but from the pubmed search I have been doing about every time a patient no-shows, there isn't anything solid and I am more likely to be wrong than right.

I wouldn't worry too much about it unless 1. your doctor, who knows your health risks/etc tells you something specific and/or 2. more peer reviewed information is presented.
Thanks for answering. I hadn't heard but Was hoping someone else answered so I didn't have to research.

Sooooo excited they seem to finally responding I can't even say. It is an awful thing to watch something heading toward disaster and not being able to do anything to stop it. Do I want to be holed up? NO. But I am glad that the message is finally cohesive to #staythefvckhome It is a weight off.
