But mostly because we cleaned your heinies when you were infants which means we will never really be able to take you seriously.

my folks (dad les 89, stepmum les 71) were supposed to be traveling. I sent an email with all the info I could find and they finally decided to pull the plug

WSJ has an article about it but behind a firewall after the first few sentences

My parents are both 80. They have the financial means to go anywhere but my goodness I hope to not see them impacted.

I work in a biomedical research lab and I’ve got to say the vibe is really weird now. Scientists who never close their office doors are, hardly anyone walking around the halls, lots of people starting to work from home.

we are now making transgenic mouse models for Covid-19 research (non-engineered mice don’t have severe symptoms, these ones die of you infect them nasally). It will take a while to ramp up supply.

My parents are currently at 40,000 ft over Alaska, en route to Tokyo. My mom didn't really want to go.
