Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30)

Re: Could we interest you in a deer for a win? (Michigan Tech @ WisconSIN - 10/29-30

After a much needed break....

Huskies... don't sweep.

Would love to chat about this, but before we get back to our exhibition schedule on the 29th, we have to go to Denver this coming weekend.

Oh yeah, and we've got Huntsville Community College again today. Yawn....

We, on the other hand, have nothing better to talk about for quite some time.

can you please shoot the deer first? wisconsinites have found out that living deer kick.

Yeah, this is a bit premature. I'm pretty sure the 'Sconnies will be concerning themselves with Denver and Gwoz first. Tech, meanwhile, needs to concern themselves with learning how to limit our opponent's chances. You can give up a two-game total of 83 shots to Mankato and probably get away with it, but I doubt that's going to work against the Red Menace, especially in Madison.

Who is going as far as Techies? I think I will be there with at least one Misfit eboard person and another friend.

Is this deal still valid...say middle of December? Id love a Win, and here in Marquette, we have plenty of deer to trade!

Hey, you, eating the paint chips. WE are the ones offering a deer for a win.

Well, perfect! You will be short a few deers if Wisconsin accepts this generous deal. Even more reason to consider!

Whats with the paint chip kick? Thats your second post this morning concerning said chips of paint.

Meh, I saw you on the other post so I figured I'd compare you to that tool of an Ohioan.

Well, time to be realistic. We beat an NMU team that clearly doesn't have their sheet together yet, an LSSU team whose first wins just came against a middling ECAC program, and a Mankato team that will probably finish 10th-12th. What's more, we also managed two ties against said teams, and still have a lot of work to do on winning faceoffs, eliminating turnovers, and our overall play without the puck. The Kohl seems to be the toughest place to play in the entire WCHA, and I think Wisconsin has been incorrectly written off this year. They're likely not a MacNaughton contender, but still probably good enough for 4th-6th and home ice.

I'd be pretty happy with a split, and wouldn't be surprised if the Badgers swept. Especially since they only got a point in Denver, and will probably be well-prepared to defend their home ice. Working slightly in our favor is the off week, which should've given us a lot of time to rest up, review tape, and work on the bad stuff.

I'd love to hear that Jordan Baker is back for this weekend, but Russell hasn't been too optimistic, especially now with the sprained ankle he sustained about two weeks ago. Duluth seems like a more realistic target for his return.

The ankle is fine now from what I hear. However, he will NOT be ready for Wisconsin; that decision was made at least three or four days ago actually.

Friday can't come soon enough for this weekend's games. Hopefully the officiating is fair and the old geezer forgets his stupid signs at home. Hoping for some Huskies points this weekend.
