For the same reason Luigi is unlikely to get convicted if he somehow survives long enough to go to trial. Just takes one holdout.
And there are a ton of bootlickers out there who "back the blue."

Yup...if there hadn't been video of George Floyd being killed those guys would still be cops.
Luigi is interesting...I honestly figured he would need jury nullification to get off but the facts are so weird in the case there is definitely some reasonable doubt.
