edit: Saw it on Twitter. Yes Bri Bret Favre's dad dying is totally equivalent to the NBA situation. I think he has CTE.

There's a good reason those stories are so long.

They were performed (from memory!) by itinerant story tellers who went from house to house. They got room and board for as many nights as the story lasted.

Basically, they were padding out the season.

See the problem with the Onion now is...I totally believe that so it isnt really funny or satire. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if TC had him in in the coming weeks...

We just are in a place now where the Onion is actually accurate which should scare us all.

When I heard the St. Louis couple were speaking at the RNC I legit did not know whether it was satire or not.

At this point I'd expect to see Richard Spencer there and Stormfront getting White House Press Pool credentials.

If he wins re-election I wouldnt discount it. He wont need to suck up to the Jews anymore. (even though it doesnt really work)

Those two Shannon Sharpe tweets are all white America needs to see if they need any more proof that white privilege is a real thing. The big white guy at one point screams "I'll fvcking kill you" is what it sounded like to me. It seems like that is a threat. Why didn't the cop shoot him? I absolutely believe if that encounter had been with a Black man and unfolded just like that, the Black man would have been tazed at the very, very least, and more likely riddled with bullets from that hero's firearm. As for the video with the Black man being assaulted, I ask once more, when are we going to see Black people responding in kind as the cops do when people of color feel -- absolutely justifiably so -- that their lives are endangered for no legitimate reason. My greatest fear is nothing constructive is coming quickly enough from all of what we have seen the last 3 months and pretty soon it will be open warfare with both sides using lethal force instead of just the bad guys doing it. We are a ridiculously and needlessly heavily armed population, and believe me it is far from just the mouth breathers, right wing nut jobs and cops who have too many guns.
