Cops 9: You Are What Now?

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

What consequences should he face for what he said?

Well, he'll lose the confidence of his teammates, and since he's old enough, ownership might just cut him and their losses if enough fans boycott the team. Not likely, but it's possible.

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

The kneeling doesn't bother me either. In fact, we're talking about sports. Get rid of the anthem entirely. But I am sure that would upset a lot of people!

Not me. I know a lot of "I wish I had Served But I was Too Chicken****" types though who would go nuts. Considering half the crowd insults the flag and the anthem every game way more than Kap and the players ever did it is all hypocritical anyways.

I am sure Drew Brees is actually a very thoughtful and great guy...he just never thinks because he let Jesus take the wheel. That is fine...but methinks if things dont clear up the new Bountygate will be on him.

They just signed him...that would be paying him a lot of money to go away. And we all know NFL fans dont give a flying **** what their players do as long as they win. They can beat/rape women, beat children, take drugs, commit burglary, help cover up a murder...it doesnt matter.

Unless they take a knee...then **** them cause 'MURICA! NFL fans (and college football) are some of the most awful people around.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. I was always one to stand and place my hand (or hat) over my heart, and since I can't sing worth sh*, I stayed silent (folks who sing along, more power to 'em).

And Brees will mo' def have a target on him because of it. Not to injure, but maybe hit juuuuuuuuuuuust a bit harder, or juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit later than necessary.

And again, if Kap were Mahomes, he'd be signed to a huge contract right now. Just like those drunk drivers, women abusers, druggies, etc. The juice (business and skill) is not worth the squeeze (lost fans' incomes, skill level).

Offer Kap a min guarantee, so heavily laden with incentives that he could possibly make $10MM, and see what he says. And no, no guarantee on a starting job.

It looks like he's one of the cheaper quarterbacks, actually. Plus, while not ideal, they do have two backups that are serviceable.

I read a quote about what Brees thought about Gitmo and couldn't believe it, but it was true. Makes it sound like a fun time.

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

Kap was better than half the starting QBs in the league (could have started for your favorite squad any year as you know) a few years ago and the only team that even looked at him was Seattle as a backup. He was friggin blackballed and the NFL didnt even hide it. Now he has been out of the game so long there is no way he would be up to snuff.

They destroyed his career because he took a knee. (as was suggested to him by a Vet btw) They knew half their fans would riot because 'Murica and so they sacrificed him. Now they pretend to care about what is going because every city that has a team is having protests. Well guess what, the fans arent buying it and neither are the players.

That's why I said incentive-laden. If he is truly better than half the QBs out there, and proves it, tunes will change. It'll show he truly just wants back in, AND it will make his team a winning team and fans will forget.

Re: Cops 9: You Are What Now?

He is definitely a man of faith but I dont think he is beholden to the crackpots...he just supports them because he never vets them.

He is just your average White Guy from Texas. He isnt evil...just ignorant.

I don't think he's ignorant. He KNOWS. He just doesn't care, and his beliefs rule over all that he has done or thinks.

Oh god yes.

Also, Mattis was called "mad dog" 20 years before Dump knew of his existence. Dump is really, really stupid.
