Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

On the Scanner Radio app the numbers of listeners to various Hennepin and Ramsey County public safety feeds are in the thousands. Often there are just a handful or maybe a few dozens on most of these locations at any given time. St Paul Police/Fire has 34,952 listening.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

The entire block of Lake and Minnehaha is on fire...a lot of small businesses are now being purged to make way for the SOUTH MINNEAPOLIS SUPER GENTRIFICATION!!

That’s the other sad thing I’ve been thinking about. The only thing that happens when businesses are destroyed is developers coming in.

The smallest business owners might not have the means to rebuild.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

Yeah dont be like the conspiracy bots. The Auto Parts chains were burned because they light up fast like a torch. And businesses around them had issues as well.

I assume so. Also, they were chains and from what I understand chains were targeted while local minority owned businesses were spared.

I had no idea Flyover had been destroyed by chains, too. I hoped locally owned auto parts stores still existed in mythical elf cities like Toledo or Davenport. But I guess it's all the same Wall Street pyramid scheme. :(

The only places that haven’t been destroyed by chains are Pyongyang and some city in northern Siberia.

Cco is saying the national guard is primarily for firefighting.

They were patrolling in Apple Valley when I was driving through it around 7:00 tonight. Also, very eerie to see Target closed due to riot fears that far removed from the riot locations.

Maybe get off the roof of the building you are trying to burn.

I have members who work in a business in this area. The employer gives ex-offenders a break and doesn't care if you spent a decade in prison, if you show up and want to work, you will have a job. And a decent one at that, great insurance, fair amount of paid time off for sick/vacation, and better than a living wage. These are real people -- many of them people of color -- who will pay the price for this rioting. I get it. I'd like to torch every fvcking police department in the city of Minneapolis. But riots never seem to punish the people who deserve to be punished.

Major pockets of areas. Still a lot of small businesses around, but numbers go down every year. Strangely enough, the pandemic helped many rediscover supporting small businesses. I hope that attitude lasts.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

That was my first thought, also.

We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression.

Our Great War is a spiritual war.

Our Great Depression is our lives.

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

The second wave of devastation for these communities will come in 5-14 days. We already know how devastating covid has been on minority communities.

Most usually rent and do not own the structure. Unless stand alone.

Whoa cnn lady might be getting into a fight

Re: Cops 7: What Could Go Wrong?

Cco also just announced St. Paul schools are not going to be delivering critical meals to children in need tomorrow because of worry over safety. More unintended devastating consequences that harm the parts of a community who most needs help.
