I believe this. The more people have lovers, spouses, jobs, homes, and friends from other tribes, the less different they appear. This inexorable blend causes conflict, sometimes extreme, but its total effect is good, IMO.

Considering that your "free" thinking is just a pastiche of commonplaces from the ParanoidNet, I'm not having any trouble with it, I was just wondering whether you had any self-awareness that you are parroting opinions created by for-profit con artists.

They showed some of one on the local news last night, some of the stuff that was being spouted off was obviously being said to ignite a certain subset of the population, and create a larger racial divide in this country. They're a very dangerous group that does not have the best interest of anyone in their minds.

You could say the same thing about the GOP if you picked your quotes to reinforce that view.

BLM is a large group. Their overarching goal is valid and their formally acknowledged tactics are well within the tradition of American protest. I'm sure there are a few eejits who spout off, just as there are a few eejits who spout racist garbage to try to delegitimize the whole project.

The trick is to peel off the eejits from both sides and shoot them into the sun.

Bingo. I remember tuning in when the St. Louis stuff was going down (or maybe a couple weeks after that), hoping to see a good rally that would address police accountability. Then I hear the guy going on about Trayvon Martin. That showed true colours. They don't care about accountability. Their belief is no different from the St. Louis PD, only replace one group with another. They're always the victim, never guilty, and everyone else should be forced to like it. If you want something to actually happen when it comes to this, how about redressing proper grievances to town hall meetings, or similar representation? Sure, it's entirely possible that the third-to-last paragraph of the Declaration of Independence may hold to be true, in which case there may be no choice.

Except that the person they showed on the news was the supposed leader of the local "chapter". That's not a good sign.
