Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

Yeah, the square is just astonishing. I don't know how local police have something like that and basically operate it in the open.

I am stunned it hasn't cost Chicago more than it's "worth."

Mistrial/hung jury in Ofc. Porter (Freddie Gray #1) trial.

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

What was the evidence she was murdered, and by whom? Does someone claim the trooper who arrested her, then apparently turned her over to the county jail staff, came back days later and killed her in her cell? Is it the claim someone in the jail itself, who apparently played no role in the contentious arrest, just decided to go ahead and lynch her?

The woman ended up dead in a jail cell. No question that is suspicious and should raise questions, especially in light of the efforts normally undertaken to keep an eye on prisoners and keep objects out of their cell that might enable them to harm themselves or others. But saying it is suspicious is one thing. Proving someone killed her is another. Just curious about the evidence.

You really have to look at murder rate rather than just frequency. In part statistics like that reflect that Chicago is a very big city.

For a different perspective.

The data may be old and so Chicago may be higher (E. Chicago is 15th on that list). It looks like the defining characteristic of places with the highest murder rate is poverty.

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

The problem with Chicago is that it's full of Chicagoans.

The actual murder rate, or the reclassified murder rate the CPD uses? ;)

Do you honestly expect Kep or any of his echo chamber to answer this? They're the kings of making accusatory statements without providing any sort of proof whatsoever (hey...sounds like the Hands Up Don't Shoot crowd, doesn't it?!). Much easier just to state that it was murder, than to prove it. And stating it is enough to whip up the legions of idiots into a frenzy. No proof needed.

How the hell do the cops in Ohio get away without charges in killing Tamir Rice?

How can you watch that video and know that Ohio is an open carry state and not even press charges against officers for killing a 12-yo with a toy gun?

Did the cops know it was a toy gun, especially when it was modified to look like a real gun?

What difference does it make? Ohio is an open carry state which means even if he had a real gun, the kid wasn't doing anything illegal. Do you not understand what open carry means?
