Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

And mean about as much

Obama is in NYC. Will he take time to pay tribute to Officer Moore?

And if he does, you'll knock him for "it wasn't good enough' or "it wasn't heartfelt". And if he doesn't, you'll knock him for not doing it.

And if he does, you'll knock him for "it wasn't good enough' or "it wasn't heartfelt". And if he doesn't, you'll knock him for not doing it.

Well, he did and you were right. Nothing more than lip service before continuing with his bash law enforcement meme.

As Milwaukee Co. Sheriff David Clarke, Jr. said, "Upon hearing of the death of one of New York's finest, time for Pres Obama to stop transforming police and transform the young Black male."

I see that person is also buying into the race card. Cops think they're above the law, and will practice that on anyone regardless of race. Or they'll come with the stupid quip of "I AM the law".

You want a transformation? Solve actual crimes instead of harassing the populace with frivolous quibbles which sometimes are actually legal so you can get a promotion because you exceeded your ticket quota for the month and exceeded the expected profits of the prison-industrial complex.

Wow, I'm shocked.

There's 300,000,000 people in the US. Probably something on the order of 10,000 die every day (300,000,000 / 85 year lifespan / 365 days per year). All 10,000 of those people meant something to someone somewhere. Few if any get even a token mention from the president. So pardon me if I don't give a fark about your whining / concern trolling, especially since it appears to be the right wing media's poutrage of the day.

Except Rudy Guiliani proved that if you take care of the little stuff, the big stuff takes care of itself. If you let people pee on the sidewalk, then the neighborhood goes downhill. Arrest the perp and the neighbors start taking pride in the neighborhood.

Still a chance to be the first to go by spontaneous combustion this year. http://www.romans322.com/daily-death-rate-statistics.php

You and your ilk the incendiary crew of Fox Opinion Channel can gfy. There's not a molehill you whiney aholes won't exaggerate. The GOP and their take the ball and go,home attitude are every bit as responsible for our messes as the POTUS, but they're too obtuse and childish to recognize their part.

RIP NYPD officer Brian Moore, murdered at age 25.
:(
Waiting for a statement from the president.....crickets

I don't get why any president needs to weigh in on every tragedy that befalls an American family. Police officer slayings were happening at an alarming pace a few years back in and around South Bend. One was lost in 1997, another in 2006 and just a year later a nutjob shot two more SBPD officers, fatally injuring one. Two Mishawaka (the city of about 50,000 that borders South Bend) police officers were killed in one incident in 2003. I don't recall George W. Bush making his way to Indiana to attend any funerals or recall reading in the local paper any statements attributed to him regarding the killings. I also can't recall any president of either party making public comments about any other police officer losing their life while on duty in any community around here at any other point. This is a red herring for people who are opposed to the politics of the president or, in earlier incidents, the NYC mayor.

Amen. I think when wholesale riots happen its incumbent on the President to make a statement but sadly if you held a press conference every time some innocent person be it in law enforcement or other professions (fire fighters, etc) passed away you'd be in front of the microphones 24/7. Far more pathetic is right wingers trying to make hay over that although it only seems to be one idiot out here.

Do cruel and unusual punishment, though, and they riot.

After Cindy Sheehan's whining about Dubya being at his ranch in Crawford TX, turnabout is fair play.

Anyone should be able to realize there is a huge difference between a mother who lost a son in war complaining about the president's handling of that war and any president needing to make a public comment about every single random tragedy. Whether or not her comments tended towards "whining" (and I thought at times they sure did) was largely a part of where you stood on the Iraq war at that time. Again, all political. You see how I was able to admit it about my thoughts, so why can't the rest of you do the same?

Considering one of the parties doing the whining about the latter event(s) (i.e. the family of the person murdered by a government agent), there is no difference.

Re: Cops 2: Pay No Attention to the Rioters Behind the Curtain

The LA riots were supposedly Bush's fault. Wonder if the Baltimore riots were also Bush's fault... http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jeffre...blamed-reaganbush-la-riots-no-blame-baltimore

Flaggy, buddy, get with the times. Liberals (at least younger ones) don't worship the New York Times any more than we do CNN. I can understand Opie living in 1982 still, but aren't you a little young for that?

So, lets both agree, the NYT is a disreputable newsrag. :D
