College Hockey Video Game - NEED HELP!

New Hampshire is excluded from this year's game due to their record, their place in the PWR and the fact that there are already six HE teams in the game, all of which were ranked ahead of them until this week's PWR. Had I started working on the game this week and didn't have half of it finished, I would have included UNH and left out Northeastern. Sorry, to all fans of the kitties.

So you probably also left out the 'tute? Are you THAT ticked that last year we lost to the Sioux DAMMIT? :p

Yes, I am that ****ed off that anybody loses to the Sioux. Unfortunately, I have left RPI out of the game. There's a good chance, though, that I'll create supplemental games based on conferences in the future, in order for anybody to play with their favorite teams.

Why not just include all 58 teams; you'll avoid complaints that way. =) You should know that there are four to six teams this year in the AHA that have a reasonable shot at winning the tournament and thereby making the NCAAs.

RIT's lines are constantly changing, but this appears to be roughly what we've settled on:

Forwards (LW-C-RW):

The first two lines are pretty solid, though they'll switch between #1 and #2 depending on which line played better the week before:

#7 McGowan (L) - #9 Garbowski (L) - #11 McReynolds (L)
#21 Smith (L) - #18 Burt (L) - #4 Colaveccia (L)

The other two lines get shuffled around a lot, but I think this is a reasonable approximation:

#10 Cornacchia (L) - #22 Hartley (R) - #28 Thompson (L)
#3 Knowles (L) - #15 Lynch (L) - #16 Reid

Injured: #17 Potts (L), #19 Mitchell (R)

Defense (L-R)

#25 Spivak (L) - #24 Haltigin (L)
#20 Noyes (L) - #26 Eckenswiller (L)
#8 Raibl (L) - #2 Descoteaux (L)

7th man: #23 Brownell
Injured: #27 Saracino

Goalies

#1 Madolora (L)
#30 Watson
#40 Ruby (L)

Can't find footage to determine handedness for Watson, Brownell, Saracino, or Reid.

Captains are Spivak, Haltigin, and Saracino (injured).

Because the game's limit is 30 teams (actually used to be 24 until a hack was found), I can't please everyone. Honestly, if I could do all 58 teams, I would. Also, I understand that there are that many teams that could win the AHA crown, but because the conference is weak in comparison to the others, I can't eliminate the teams that are ahead of them. I figured that this system for team selection is my best bet for including the most possible teams in the tournament.

basically as soon as i get more help with line combos for the teams i don't have lines for already. i'll also need a couple of days following that to input the rosters, ratings, and line combinations for the teams, as well as tidy up some of the graphics.

How do you plan on doing the ratings for the players?

Awesome stuff. I can relate to your perils, I've made hacked roms for Tecmo Super Bowl in the past. Of course, your task is tougher since college hockey info is harder to find than NFL stuff.

I'll see if I can find line combos for Ferris State for you. I honestly don't know offhand for sure.

Cornell lines as used against Brown - lines have been switched around quite a bit, these are likely to change even as soon as this weekend - not using Yale lines because D'ags was scratched that night and he belongs on the ice since hes usually our top line defender (right and left handedness not indicated on Cornell Roster)
