That thread must have been deleted in the Great Purge. I don't recall his name either, but it spawned enough interest that someone probably recalls the details.

A guy did do a couple of games. He did a Hockey East/WCHA and a CHA/AHA or something like that. I've played them and they were fun, but these games will be far more advanced than those were. Logos will be better, uniforms far more accurate (as those were not), and rosters/ratings will be for this season, as those were outdated (and are severely outdated, now). We've made some real advances in editing NHL '94 and this one will showcase those advances very well.

I had forgotten what it was, but I found this:

It's a patch for NHL 2000. Worked quite well--I played it for several years myself. The graphics and uniforms are obviously out of date, but it was fun. Of course, I had to "correct" Michigan's roster to bring it up to proper accuracy, which meant making the players faster and higher-skilled than all of their opponents.

There was also a mod for NHL 2004, but the NCAA wrote a cease and desist letter to the guys working on it. I've done college hockey mods for NHL 2004 and 09 for PC, but refuse to release them to anyone, due to the NCAA's stance on it. Not sure if it would be any different now, but I'm not going to chance it.

ciskie.blogspot.com has UMD's lineups posted for every game, as well as opponents lines. Most recently that would include North Dakota, so it's a fairly reliable source. Other recent opponents include Michigan Tech, UAA, and Western Michigan.

The NCAA is stupid. They should have paid that person for their time and released it as a $10 download on XBLA, PSN, Steam, etc

Don't be stunned. It's based mostly on last weeks PWR. Sorry, but the strength of the conference isn't very impressive. Perhaps I should have included one more team in case AFA doesn't win the auto-bid. My main goal in using the PWR is to include all teams that have a shot at making the NCAA tournament. Thanks for revealing a flaw.

Based on how the PWR are looking right now, I'm going to remove Quinnipiac and add RIT. ECAC is well-represented in the game, and Quinnipiac isn't essential to having in the game. I agree that AHA needs two representatives.

No prob! I used the one for Saturday against SCSU because the lines were so jumbled against Denver. Thanks again for doing this!
