Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

I thought in college football, once the ball crossed the plane of the goal line its a touchback regardless of feet...that was a great play for pro football.

It is true...if the ball crosses the plain it is a touchback unlike in the NFL.

I love watching the Big Ten teams lose :D (when it isnt my team...though they lose a lot ;) )

I do love watching smug ***, fat faced Bulima lose on the big stage. What a ******.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Erin Andrews looks ok:D

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Jim Delaney can suck it. Sorry that needed to be said :D

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

yup... defense is getting torn apart... I know it takes us time to get the defense settled in but Oklahoma won't make mistakes that others will.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

TCU will automatically improve the Big East 10 fold when they join. Because right now that conference is horrible!

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

So this was mentioned on GPL but was totally worth posting:

Fitting that Sconnie loses the game on a two-point conversion that FAILED.

Karma. She can be a b*itch.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

They don't start the clock on a 2 pt conversion?, their was 2 minutes when it started and 2 minutes when it ended?

Clock doesn't run on any PAT attempt at any level of football. Just like it doesn't run on penalty shot attempts in hockey.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Well... one half and I've seen everything right and wrong with Connecticut football.... certainly a good measuring stick... I certainly hope we find a way not to get run over by the offense in the second half... maybe it will maybe it won't. Either way, watching the performance against Oklahoma illustrates where UConn needs to be and what needs to be improved in the years ahead.

What a loss. So many odd decisions by Bielema. Oh well.

What time is the Minnesota bowl game on TV?

Not sure. But I know they didn't lose it!

Still wish Boise could have been there. Oh well. Perhaps next year.

Surprisingly UConn is not being completely blown out.

Surprisingly UConn is not being completely blown out.

I'd say 28 points is quite enough.

Things we already knew... defense doesn't know how to tackle but they find a way to get yet another pick 6... flushing out QBs only to see them find an open man on a 3rd down... has happened more than I can count.... our QB... won't miss him... Box should be healthy, supposedly this local (to me) QB recruit has NFL potential.... our wide recieving core sucks... period. Bottom line... we aren't there yet where we can win a big time bowl game. No surprise. I'm happy with where this program has come from and I think I'll be happy where this is going... I said when I got to UConn that I was witnessing something that'll take 15-20 years to build... but to be at this point in, I think year 7 of that statement, I think is a good thing and something that'll be built upon.

Again, things we already knew. Those are the elements that keep us from being Top 25... but it shows us what needs to occur. Better QB, better recievers and we see a more competitive game... better tackling wins the game. If we can keep developing running backs and maintain the rest then that's what needs to happen. One page of a longer story. I've liked what Randy's built and I want to see him build it for the decade to come. I'll never say that "I'm proud for losing"... but I can't help but see a positive future for the program. Next year it'll probably be Charlotte or NYC. Who knows... but in the longer run, I don't think that'll be the only BE title for UConn in the next 10 years.

For as much as I hate UConn students I'm happy to see what Randy has built in this program. On to next year.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Always good to see UConn lose like that...

Anyway, of all the reasons to fire Rich Rodriguez, #1 on that list has to be the fact that he actually hired Greg Robinson.

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Good win by TCU. I was a little nervous because I heard the refs were from the SEC. I thought the Frogs had to play against 5 or 6 extra guys. :D

Re: College Football IV: The Hand over Fist Cash Grab Time, or Bowl Season for short.

Mike Hayward fired from Pitt 17 days in.

Maybe a bit harsh considering he hasn't been convicted yet?

No it was pretty much expected. He brought embarrassment upon himself and the school and he has yet to coach a game...standard practice. hell all Mike Price did was go to a strip club after being hired by Alabama and it was enough to get him canned.
