Oops. Yeah, I actually think it's a smart play on their part. Everyone already has cable/satellite. Or nearly everyone. Plus they're putting it on ESPN3 it appears. So everyone has access to it. They can run their normal saturday garbage AND have a national audience.

It is ridiculous...the Rose Bowl should be on ABC not ESPN. (it could still be on ESPN 3 because it is the same company) That is part of the "tradition" they love to cream their pants about. (being on a Network) The fact that all the games are on cable as opposed to Network TV makes me hate the BCS even more. Jesus even the NFL isnt that greedy...this is NBA stupid. (or NHL stupid if that suits ya better )

Yeah, but that shouldn't matter because everyone has ABC. Some people don't have high-speed internet, and even if they do, there are some internet providers that aren't partnered with ESPN3.

ABC didn't bid to show the game. Your choices were ESPN or FOX.
Given those choices, and having listened to Gruden "try" to do a game earlier today, I'd rather it be with the channel that has shown and followed college football.

Eh. I'm just eternally grateful it's not on Fox. They have the single worst college football staff on God's green earth. Versus blows them out of the water. HGTV makes them look foolish.
