Ok, that Minnesota Iowa game was epic. Friggin epic.
I had a feeling the Gophers might come through with Iowa in what could be a let-down week and the Gophers seniors trying to win a rivalry trophy for the first time in their whole careers.

Michael Floyd seems to have become our official short yardage receiver. How the mighty have fallen. But, 7-3 Catholics over Convicts.

Last time I checked, Notre Dame has a rapist on the roster, USC has 0.

Notre Dame 1 > USC 0.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Dunno how Cierre Wood just picked up 25 yds on a draw. We're getting a lot of yardage after the initial tackle attempt. To be honest both teams look really bad.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Weird end of half. Notre Dame scores twice, gets credit for the second one, and leads 13-3.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Unbelievable play in the OK-OSU game!

DB leaps in the air to deflect a throw-away pass, right to a teammate standing inbounds. This description doesn't do it justice; you have to check it out if you didn't see it.

Which really should be grounds for a suspension of the season.

edit: and don't think I'm joking... Notre Dame stands by and celebrates their rapist... I'm sure they know who the rapist is... and the rapist probably doesn't feel any guilt either.

13-13 after 2 ND turnovers inside their own 20 on their first 2 drives of the 2nd half.

11 and 1. 11 and freaking 1. We were 1-11 4 years ago. People said we would have to lower our admissions standards if we ever wanted to compete. That or drop out of the Pac 10 to a lower conference. From the moment Harbaugh arrived he wouldn't take being set to the side as an also ran. It took a couple years for things to truly get going, but his attitude led to wins against USC and Cal right from the get go and it built from there. We want from a team that needed to lower its standards to one with two top 15 recruiting classes in a row. We went from the team losing by 30 to winning by 30. Wow is all I can say. I know there's only so much the administration will allow itself to spend on a coach, but whatever their limit is I hope they can stretch it to keep him.

When I was at Stanford they had a VERY active alumni who were obsessed with football -- they all looked and sounded like the eventual murder victim in Double Indemnity. I expect the college president will be... encouraged... to give Harbaugh anything he wants.

Here's hoping they do. And here's hoping if we get into a BCS bowl that they all make it out there and fill up the stadium, so that we can say even if we don't sell out at home we'll make it worth your while and your pocketbook to invite us to your game!

Man, why did ND ever abandon the run? This game would have been over long ago if they kept Rees from handling the football.

I know. The halfback can't stare down an interception. ;)

Rumors circulating that Miami just axed their coach.

They aren't selling out? With that team? Wow.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

If you combined the ND odd quarters and USC even quarters, you would have the worst football game ever played.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Congrats, ND. Streak was bound to end eventually.

For a while there when you were winning by 35 every year, it didn't seem like it. :)

Both these teams are 2-3 years away from anything special. I hope the 2012 or 2013 game will be much more significant.
