Wow
Nice ending

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Holy ****. If Stanford can take care of business odds are we can be #4 i.e. automatic BCS berth.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Maryland's win over NC State means FSU plays VT for the ACC championship game, and Orange Bowl berth. Good thing nobody cares about ACC football, because the game ended on one of the worst spots I've ever seen. :)

Maryland has the ball around midfield, 4th and 1, about a minute left. They go for it to try and clinch the win. On the play the Terp barely, and I mean barely gets back to the line of scrimmage, and the refs give him a yard. They review the play for 4 seconds and confirm the ruling on the field. NC State doesn't get that one last drive, and Maryland runs out the clock. Giving FSU another reason to celebrate.

Now, NC State played a subpar game, and they probably lose anyway. But they deserved a chance to actually lose it. Tough break for them.

OK, I don't get this. My local ABC affiliates are broadcasting Oklahoma-Oklahoma State at 8, but ESPN3 still has Notre Dame-USC blacked out for me. Grr. Is there a way around this (feel free PM me if details are dicey)?

Too bad we can't get Oregon-Stanford in the title game. The rest of the country would commit suicide.

I was wondering about this, but I have to agree. The BCS already has Stanford over over Wisconsin, even though voters have Wisconsin over Stanford. The voters will probably stay that way, with Wisco putting up another basketball score . . . but with BSU and LSU losing, that will only lessen the voting margin between Wisconsin/Stanford. Hard to imagine the computers flipping on Stanford vis-a-vis Wisconsin after games against OreSt and Nortwestern.

I actually got sucked in by the vortex of awful and wound up watching the final 10 minutes or so of that game. Some of the plays they chose to review were ridiculous in general, including NC State's last or second last TD, which didn't seem questionable to me at all.

As for the final spot though, I think it was more a function of the yellow line being woefully off than the spot being all that bad.

Ok, that Minnesota Iowa game was epic. Friggin epic.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

I understand that Stanford's one loss is a little more acceptable than Wisconsin's (on the road at Oregon vs. on the road at Michigan State), but what is Stanford's best win? Arizona?

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

And now it all makes sense, as ABC is carrying it after all.

Irish winning the field position battle early, 0-0.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Indiana and Minnesota win conference games the same day. Wonderful when the last time that happened was.

No clue but I got to touch Floyd of Rosedale. This was our bowl game this year. Finishing the last two games by beating ranked opponents sure feels good.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

What did it give you? A blackout notice? That's really odd.

It did, but as it turned out the blackout is understandable because despite all listings, maps, and ads, the game really is on here.

USC has some cheerleaders who look 40. Large tracts of lands, though.

An injured Hoosier? Indiana is playing?

Irish lineup dominated by underclassmen now (Riddick, Jackson, Eifert, Toma, Wood, Reese).
