Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

TCU 20, Utah 0 (2nd)
Washington 3, Oregon 3 (2nd)

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

And Auburn managed to sneak past Chattanooga.

I'm sure the media will just say that the Auburn defense eased up aganst a weaker opponent, while TCU (ultimately) beat up a weak MWC opponent and therefore gets no credit. ;)

"The former great Utah great."

You can't do that to the English language.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

It's the lowest of all low-hanging fruit, I know, but Illinois led by seven and had the ball with 6:00 left just outside its own 40. Michigan has a horrible defense and IL had already scored 45 points. It was fourth and about 12-18 inches.

I agree they probably should have gone for it, but I don't know that it was a given to go for it. Michigan only had 7 points in the second half at that point, and had their back-up QB in the game. I don't think it's unreasonable to try and force Michigan to put together a drive there, and worst-case scenario, they were still going to end up with the ball with the game tied and a chance at a game-winning score.

Michigan's celebration at the end may be one of the saddest things I've ever seen in Michigan Stadium.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

RichRod's going to end up 7-5, go to a bowl, and probably save his job.

I'm hoping for 6-7 when all is said and done.

At least we know Pudue's top weekend of offense this season is coming up.

And if he limps into a bowl game (which they will.... ugh) after being beaten down by 40..

Just want enough to go wrong that we have a new coach next year.

And once again Les Miles fails clock management.

+ elvetu6 trillion.

How soon we forget what happened 13 years ago.

Now winning itself is an accomplishment. Enough to almost tear the goal posts down.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Attention other SEC coaches: Les Miles likes trick plays!

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Does Nick Saban?

Nope. Straight kickoff. I gues with 3 minutes you do give your D a shot...

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

I can't wait to see how the refs hand this one to Alabama.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Forget the refs. That LSU receiver gave Bama every chance to try and force a fumble before he finally grew a brain and went down.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

"There are still another three seconds left."

This officiating crew should be suspended...letting Alabama lose? That's terrible.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

It doesn't look like I get the Oregon game this week.

Any particular reason why they aren't up by forty yet? 3-0?!?

Final: 53-16 (after not scoring in the first quarter).

ESPN weeps at the implosion of the Iron Bowl.

TCU wins at Utah 47-7 just to make things even more uncomfortable for the NC$$.

Re: College Football III: We may lose, but we keep the score close!

Remember back when the Texas, K-State game would always be a blowout.

Still is.

Just not like many remember. 39-0 at the beginning of the 4th.

Kinda looks like Texas might get the bowl season off??
