Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Andy Reid and Les Miles must be coaching Iowa. They had the first down, clock stopped at 12 seconds with the first down, everyone in position to spike it, and Iowa called a timeout.

Thought this was funny:

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Stanford beats Wazzou 38-28 to go to 6-1. Granted though it's Wazzou and they were favored by 35 or so. I'm on a plane so I've been following Gametracker (which has a lovely habit of skipping around timewise) and listening to the radio feed, so it's hard to tell if the game plan was just meh or if the team was using this as a second bye week and doing just what was needed to win. 21 of Wazzou points came near the end when it was clearly out of reach, so it's not like it was ever in jeopardy or anything.

Anyways, bowl eligible for the second year after 7 years of losing records!

Someone at ABC Sports/ESPN is going to be fired for their wonderful audio tonight.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Gameday next week would appear to be a pretty easy decision in favor of USC-Oregon, unless they decide to go off the board for something.

Michigan State-Iowa would have been a good draw, but Ferentz channeled Les Miles.

Mizzou-Nebraska is the only other game they'd consider. All three games are on ABC; the Oregon/USC game is on at 8.

The Florida-Georgia game would be attractive, but neither team is ranked.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Okay, Oregon...you're up.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Why the hell would you punt there? After going for two wrongly on the last touchdown no less.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

Auburn is going to be #2 this week in the BCS, right? Because Boise being #2 would be a crime against humanity and that just can't happen.

And again the awesomeness of letting students rip down the goalposts is no longer allowed. Pathetic.

Yep, three straight weeks the BCS number one has lost and yet BSU can't move past #3.

"Please do not come on the field."

Right.

They did it anyway.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

wont it be fun if Mizzou face Baylor (who is currently leading the south) for the B12 championship?

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

When will Mizzou and MSU pass Bozo State?

If MSU wins next week, they will. Mizzou will have to wait awhile. I'd be more worried about a 1-loss Alabama passing them.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

It'll be great when they go undefeated again this year and then lose a game next year and all the talking heads will say "See, this is why Boise State and teams like them don't shouldn't ever be considered for the National Championship game."

It would be less aggravating if BSU were avoiding playing the BCS schools, but they have practically been begging them for games. No-one will play them, and yet the BCS punishes them for their sked.

Re: College Football II: The BCS hits the Fan

If Boise wins the rest of their games, they will make the big BCS game in my opinion. The other undefeated teams will all find a way to lose. Hopefully they will have BSU and a half dozen one loss teams and the ridiculous nature of the BCS will continue to be exposed.
