College Football 2024

lol at Michigan and Ohio St postgame.

Edit: I'm pretty sure some Michigan players got pepper sprayed by Ohio State police. That's gonna be fun.

1. Don't be shitty winners. Let's try to be less a-holish.
2. Don't get violent when you lose and someone else are assholes to you. Let's try to be less a-holish
3. Don't pepper spray college football players. Cops are hopeless so whatever.

I don't like anything about that fight.

"if you don't want a flag planted..."
Sorry, shut up. Planting a flag like that is not something we should encourage. That just means you're an asshole.

I don't know what the bigger takeaway from that game was:

- The post-game shenanigans (from both sides)

or

- Gus Johnson literally sounding like he had an on-air stroke calling that goal-line interception

Gus Johnson acting holier than thou during the fight after Fox opened the game with a montage of fight footage.

Watched Colorado/Kansas(Rock Chalk baby)and Colorado is one of the most undisciplined teams I've seen. Jayhawks, with a losing record, have knocked off 3 straight top 25 teams for the first time in FBS history. Still not bowl eligible, they have to go one the road next week and beat Baylor to go bowling this year.
No bowl for Kansas. The might have had a shot if Baylor was ranked.

Note, didn’t see a second of the game. Holy cow. Can’t believe we won!!! Sounded like it was rather ugly on offense. More than one no score with first and goal for both teams.

As for the post game, from what I can tell,Gus forgot that Texas did the same thing at Michigan when they won- and they laughed it off. Michigan didn’t start a fight with the Texas players. And I’m betting they forgot when one of woody’a teams tore down the Go Blue sign before the game- so to think that woody and bo didn’t do this is ignoring facts.

Not a fan that they did it, but the nuts could have won the game to prevent it. It will be interesting to see the suspension list for both teams after that.

USC was ready to tie Notre Dame late in the 4th. Then threw a pick six that was returned for 99 yards. On the very next drive, now down 42-28, they threw another pick six. This one returned 100 yards. Wild

Looks like several games had fights at the end or at least a scuffle. I haven't been really paying attention to college sports much the last few years. Is it becoming more common or does it just seem like it since there are cameras everywhere and drama sells?

What a comeback win by Syracuse.

After being thoroughly disappointed with the result of the Clemson-USC game, and then watching Miami get out to a 21-0 lead, I turned off the TV very frustrated. Decided to take care of some projects at home, and when I turned the TV back on Syracuse was up 42-38 just about to clinch the game. What a wild swing that was for the Tigers.

While I don't hold any real belief that Clemson could compete in the Playoff, it is nice to still be in the mix for at least one more week.

I did not have "SMU and Boise St. receiving 1st round byes" on my CFP Bingo. If we had any doubts that the new system in 2026 will hand autobids and byes to 2 SEC and 2 Big Ten teams.
