College Football 2022: “Here’s a twenty, bury two.”

So it’s ok if someone does it on their own? The big schools have to have large and rich enough fan bases to easily do that.

Besides, the video that teams get at least show the visitors signals for every play.

If they do do it on their own, then it comes down to doing it in a way that's not obvious. The reports seem to indicate every other B1G team knew it was happening, so they must have done a poor job hiding it. Don't get me wrong, it's a dumb rule that I didn't even realize existed until yesterday and it seems easy to find ways around it, but, you know, do so in a more subtle way.

*checks Michigan vs. State score*

I'm all GO BLUE, but I thought State would have made an effort tonight.
It’s almost as if their emotional effort overdid the actual effort. Some really bad penalties to take out there.

I get being angry losing this badly, but would you rather have them take a knee?

So Michigan is being accused of sign stealing. Given that every team does multiple signs or odd patterns or whatever, why is this a huge scandal? Apparently, MSU considered canceling the game due to the health and safety of the players.

huh?

Id be more concerned about fan safety having a massive rivalry game at night.

Did they play Tech the night before anyway? :-D

How 'bout them Utes! *don't even ask
They had a pretty telling stat on SC this am about USC; they've lost 11 of 13 games against AP ranked opponents.

That was a fun game to watch, especially how Williams lost the chance to b2b the heisman. On the back of a dumb head to head on the QB- don’t they know better?

Though it was properly called a roughing the passer, it was not targeting. Not even close to the defintion of targeting. I know it doesn't matter (other than the player doesn't play in the first half of the next game), but I hate when the refs make up rules just because "it looked bad."

The only thing that makes it bad is that he led with his helmet- even if it was just the facemask. It kind of met the definition of leading with your head. Even though I've seen that exact same hit not even called.

I believe the rule is written leading with the crown of the helmet. Not the facemask.
