Now that Joe Morgan has been fired, is there a worse announcing combination in any sport than Beth Mowins and Mike Bellotti?

Beth Mowins isn't even the worst woman announcer. Pam Ward outpaces her by a long shot.

Agree on Hawk Harrelson. Also, the two buffoons that do the CBJ broadcasts might be the worst combination in the leauge. Their play by play guy has a very strong tendency to yell about miraculous saves by Mason when the puck actually went 5 feet wide. Although Bill Davidge is good for the occasional Miami shoutout, he may be a worse color commentator than he was coach - I wasn't around for those years but I'm going to assume that's saying something.

Michigan fans save life of Notre Dame fan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- A Notre Dame fan who had a heart attack during last weekend's game at Michigan survived to watch the final touchdowns from a hospital bed, the school said Thursday.

Leo Staudacher's heart stopped during the second quarter of Saturday night's game at Michigan Stadium, the school said. The 69-year-old Bay City man survived thanks in part to one bystander who performed CPR and others who called for a medical team who used an automated electric defibrillator on site.

"My family watched while they shocked me with the paddles," Staudacher, who was visiting Ann Arbor with his sons ages 45, 48 and 50, said in a statement released by the school. "But it was the fans and their prompt CPR that saved my life."

IMHO, Pam Ward is probably one of the better announcers on ESPN. I generally can't stand the rest of them.

Ron Darling + anyone is worse than Joe Buck + anyone. And it's not even close. Ron Darling is one of the most amateurish, lazy, and boring announcers out there.

Well, yeah. Les Miles deal with Satan that he signed in 2005 undoubtedly includes clauses where the devil rips off Vegas on O/U betting.

Edit: Yeah, going to the backup was a great choice, Mullen. Why couldn't you get the Florida job again?

Ron Darling is one of the most amateurish, lazy, and boring announcers out there.

Totally wrong. He was awful with Washington, but he's perfect as part of GKR.
