College Basketball ver Do Wedzenia Krzyzewski

Good game, So Carolina had way more talent, way more height and a bench that scored. Clark was gassed after the first half. I’ll bet So Carolina is already favorites to win next year. Quite a run they have going.

They survived UConn despite missing ten thousand layups. While it wasn’t as bad today, you have to be perfect to beat Carolina, and they were in the fire quarter, but USC eventually settled down. The big miss in particular was Stuelke missing one that would’ve cut it to two, and instead USC went back down and scored to make it six to start a run that put them up 12.

Caitlin, letting them steal the ball and score just before half was a killer also. I thought I heard announcers say the USC bench scored like 30 points and Iowa 0

37-0. The Iowa bench scored 3 points in Cleveland and 5 vs. LSU in the regional final.

Have to give it to Dawn Staley- she's doing a great job all the while making her job harder by making women's college BB more popular. How many more years until we start seeing 12-5 upsets?

This tournament had a lot of chalk, but that’s actually a reversal of the trend in the last two tournaments where there were quite a few wins by the 10-12 seeds. We’re still far off from an annual upset by the 14-16 seeds like we see on the men’s side, though. After this year they’re now a combined 1-360 in the first round. Funny enough the 1 is from a 16, 20 years before it happened on the men’s side.

Tara VanDerveer retires with 3 NCAA championships, 13 Final Fours, 1216 career wins, and coaching the women's team to gold in 1996.

Geno Auriemma is right behind her in wins with 1213. He should blow past 1216 pretty darn easily unless he decides to retire too.

With Calipari moving to Arkansas, it was reported yesterday that Kentucky was heavily targeting Baylor coach Scott Drew. Drew then tweeted a photo of him with a Baylor booster at a Mexican restaurant.

However, a Kentucky fan looked at the tv in the corner and found that the Fast Money board of Family Feud episode was from 2020, while the Waco station was playing an episode from 2022 yesterday, meaning it was an old photo.
