College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Northwestern all but locked up their first ever tournament appearance with a layup off a full court pass as time expired against Michigan.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

The NCAA has called me 3 times in the past week or so asking about my interest in attending March Madness in Orlando. They should be thankful I haven't answered the call yet to tell them how I feel.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

We know the Big XII isn't fixed. TCU beats Kansas 85-82 to ensure low attendance the rest of the tournament.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Rutgers vs. Northwestern in DC has to be in front of about 1,000 fans tonight. Good call, Jim.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Rutgers-NW was 9-6 when I went to get gas around the corner. Get back and it's 33-9 Northwestern. 27-0 run.

Run ends at 31-0.

Def cost Kansas the top overall seed and possibly a 1.
Lunardi stll has them as a 1 and the 3rd seed overall.

Kansas mania, KU in, Wichita State in, K State knocked off Baylor yesterday and Lunardi has them "last 4 in".

Yeah. Only 4 teams. Not a fan.

I like that it's only top four, at least. That way you don't have the last place team come in and get the league's sole bid.

Still surprised by this format. I think the most Ivy thing besides no tournament would've been a best two out of three between 1 and 2.

Seriously have no tournament or one with everyone, not this halfway crap.

Edit: OK I first didn't really read your post, I see now we're disagreeing.

Fighting Sioux win the Big Sky tournament in OT over Weber State in Reno in front of about 200 people.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

New Orleans makes the tournament eight years after announcing plans to move to D3 due to issues regarding Hurricane Katrina.
