College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

I like that it's only top four, at least. That way you don't have the last place team come in and get the league's sole bid.

Still surprised by this format. I think the most Ivy thing besides no tournament would've been a best two out of three between 1 and 2.

I actually like it this way. Cut off the really bad teams (like us) but have a single elimination tourney at the Palaestra and broadcast it. Perfect.

Is there a USCHO MM bracket contest anywhere?

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Indiana fires Tom Crean right as the NCAA tournament begins. That's how you news dump.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Pretty quick trigger on Crean. Wondering if they have someone already lined up.

Like the way during the Butler game they said...'let's see if the Gophers can get the upset'.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

Not sure if the Gophers will win or not. But it was actually very good we had the refs we had in Madison. After getting called for everything and getting handchecked the whole game without any calls our way, the game so far is significantly easier due to the refs alone.

I made a mistake picking Minnesota didn't I?

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

One round. I missed my 12-5 upsets though, *ing Virginia and Notre Dame...

Losing Springs was a big deal. With him, we have depth and a foul buffer. Without him, its very tight. In large part, it depends on Lynch keeping out of foul trouble and Mason getting started. Neither looks promising at this point.

Re: College Basketball 2016-17: Destination Phoenix

I had MTSU and Wilmington as my 5/12 upsets. WVU was close with Bucknell but pulled away the last ten minutes. Northwestern/Vandy good so far.
