College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

3 for 3 start to the day after going 13 for 16 yesterday.

Stupid Texas for losing...

I lost 2 sweet sixteen teams and one elite eight team though with Notre Dame's and Georgetown's clunkers.

In a pool with 288 people...$10 buy-in.

I'm in third place right now in that one.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Ouch. The Darkness had Georgetown winning the title.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

did anyone on this board NOT pick Cornell in the first round? :) up by 18 with about 8 minutes left.

Stupid West Virginia up by 30 with 5 minutes left.

Yahoo calling it an upset. Granted, I thought the score would be closer, but is that really an upset? Cornell's got a **** good team. I think it would have been an upset the other way around, frankly.

It's only an upset because of the seed.

Cornell got completely jipped being a 12 seed. Temple deserved better too as they have a pretty good team too. Cornell is just that good.

I really wish I would have picked Cornell to the sweet sixteen in my big money pool. In most pools I did pick them to the Sweet 16 but not that one.

Siena beating Purdue though would be excellent.

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

I lost 2 of my sweet sixteen, but still have everyone left any deeper than that. Barack Obama's picks are leading the pool.

I got Pitt-Baylor in the randoms, which actually might be good enough to win (winner of the randoms gets 13%.. second place in randoms gets 7%)... one person got Duke, though.

In the non-money pool, I was unabashed with my Marquette homer-ness and it cost me. :)

Don't feel bad. I went K-State homer to the Final Four in a couple of my brackets, and they may not get past BYU tomorrow night.

I would probably do better if I knew stuff about college bouncyball though.:o

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

25% of my Sweet 16 is out, but only 1 Elite Eight, so I can still get points where it matters. Almost pulled off an insane comeback last year following awful opening and second rounds by getting 7/8 Elite Eight and the entire Final Four right, but some other guy had UNC winning and pulled ahead in the national championship game.

My bracket is Melba toast at this point.

Georgia Tech beats OK State.

Nice acting job by NMSU's Young pretending to get hit in the groin to ice Lucas at the line. Unfortunately for him, the video shows that nobody touched him anywhere near the groin, so he ends up looking like a tool.

However, the player that comes in for him hits a three. MSU up 1 with 18 seconds left.

get that man an Oscar. that was good. Spartans win!

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

MSU wins 70-67, crazy finish.

Morgan at the line for two after a foul: makes the first misses the second, however an NMSU player stepped on the hash mark, resulting in a violation. Morgan makes the redo to make it a three point game. Then NMSU gets three three pointers up on the next possession before it goes out of bounds with 0.3 left. Looked like there should have been a review for time, but none was given, and Green stole the inbounds pass.

Did Rick Jackson go John Cena on us with the You Can't See Me after that follow up jam?

Re: College Basketball 2009-10: The Road to the Road to Lucas Oil

Could someone call the Louisville hotel and let them know their game has started?

If Rick wanted to emulate a WWE wrestler, he should have chosen my hero CM Punk. He should've put UVM to sleep and say that He's Better than You.

:D :D
