Colgate @ RPI, Saturday, 2/14/26

I vote that major penalty the worst power play on a major we have had all season. Only saving grace was not giving up a short handed goal. I love #5 Sobieski but he has had a rough second period making 2 very bad decisions pinching and getting caught and a bad no look pass from deep in our zone. he needs to play within himself for the third period. He has a deadly shot from the point and has to be involved but please wake up for the third period
 
First time all season that we scored 6 goals. Feels great to just sit back and watch an RPI romp in person.
Dartmouth and Harvard come to HFH next weekend. If we play like we did this weekend, maybe we can earn some more pojnts.

We have to earn some points. This team has pretty much been moving forward -albeit with 2 major missteps against SLU and Yale. Need to show that we are moving beyond that and becoming a consistent full game team. the score last night is not entirely representative of the play and we still gave up too many very good chances against us with defensive lapses or mistakes. But we played well enough this entire weekend to give ourselves a chance to win both games and were not beaten by teams that our recent records against have been less than stellar.

Not a great power play but important that for 5 minutes Colgate was shorthanded and we kept them from scoring. The only reason the major was called was because Lang challenged it after a whistle. The refs totally missed it.

From what I can tell so far this season, coach Lang does not miss much. If he does not challenge it probably means it would fail or would not make any difference. The refs seemed to let a lot go yesterday. I felt the game was exceptionally rough but our boys stood up to that well. #82 for us hits like a truck but has to stay under control.
