Rinse and repeat - replay yesterday with great goal tending, ferocious hitting, fast break outs from our zone, offensive pressure for 60 (or more) minutes, if needed possessing the puck for most of over time, avoiding unnecessary penalties and we just could win this one!!!! BTW could the officials work a bit harder at finding one single instance where the opposition deserved to be called for a penalty? I know Cornell just does not take many stupid penalties, but were they that squeaky clean for 70 minutes last night????

Definitely not 70, but I don't think 65 either. :p

Every time we show promise on Friday, we come up with a lousy performance on Saturday.
I would love to see them repeat the game they played last night against Colgate.
I don't think that this team could ever win a shoot out. We just don't have any real goal scorers.
That said, we showed a lot of promise last night.
Now lets go out and beat Colgate.

It would be nice to beat Colgate since we’ve lost the last 5 meetings (one in a shootout).
FWIW, RPI has played Colgate on Valentine’s Day twice in the past 20 years, winning one in 2020 and a tie in 2014 (pre-shootout days)
I was expecting a blowout last night, but they played very well defensively, not getting caught out of position very often, and Bruveris probably played his best game of the season. Let’s hope for another solid performance tonight… LGR!

Would never even attempt to second guess our coach but before the shootout started Jenny and I both thought our first 3 would have included acouple different names. Cannot really argue the choices made but we did think about a couple other boys.

I checked to see if the OT had reverted to 10 minutes.
I would love to see that and revert o either 4 on 4 or full strength. Although we played the OT smartly for the most part last night, winning the face off and controlling the puck until we had a decent chance to shoot - i still hate it! And deciding a team game with a shootout is like penalty kicks in soccer. What more can they introduce as changes to the game to ruin it next??

What about starting with a runner at second base? ;)

As good as the girls played yesterday - that is how badly they played today. Especially in the second period giving up 3 goals on 3 shot early in the period to fall behind 4-1. They made a valiant effort late in the third scoring twice to get the score to 4-3 but an empty net goal against sealed the game and a loss at 5-3. They end the season in 12th place and will be on the road for the playoffs to the number 5 seed which could be Clarkson (or less likely Cornell). It was Senior Day and they had a nice brief ceremony for the 4 leaving seniors.
