Colgate @ RPI (Sat 11/9)

Re: Colgate @ RPI (Sat 11/9)

Both were potentially dangerous from an injury perspective but neither hit looked vicious. Curadi certainly deserved 5: whenever you get someone in the numbers from 6 feet off the boards it has to be called. I thought that Miller was trying to line up a shoulder hit, and just missed it, got knee to knee.

Hab: that 5 minutes to Luke was what I would call the 6'5" penalty-the contact was minor and the kid slid in tot he boards from as you mentioned 6 feet away. if Luke was a small forward, they never call that.

And surprise-our third major penalty! Losing 2 players and 15 minutes of short handed versus zero for Colgate.

On replay-of the 3 penalties-this one was deserved. Dreaded second period for sure

I agree it wasn't an intent to injure by any means, and a bigger guy might not have gone down, but almost all refs will call that one.

Re: Colgate @ RPI (Sat 11/9)

Guy ducked on that.

I sort of saw it that way too. So we have 3 RPI majors and I think we can agree that none of them was even close to an intent to injure, but sometimes when you play a hitting game you are going to get these situations. If they were really dumb hits the coach might be a bit upset, but here I think you just need to accept it as part of RPI's game and carry on.

Not sure who is sharpening our skates tonight-havent seen so many guys go down losing edges in a long time-or perhaps the ice just stinks today

Another fortunate period-this has been a special teams 40 minutes for us. hopefully we might see a couple even up calls in the third but with Dumas on the ice, somehow i doubt it. He has a history of just letting games get out of hand.

Re: Colgate @ RPI (Sat 11/9)

I'd like to ask if anyone out there who might be a bit more computer-savvy than I am can help me out.

In previous years, I've been able to watch games on RPI TV. There was a picture and there was sound.

This year, there is a picture, but there is no sound. Not during the play, not during the between-periods time - no sound at all, at any time.

In the margin below the picture, there is a speaker icon with an x next to it, which evidently means the sound is off.

I've tried left-clicking on it, but that does nothing. I've tried right-clicking on it and a menu pops up, but there's nothing on the menu that I can translate as meaning "turn on the sound."

Does anybody know a technique I can use to get the sound to work?
