Colgate 22-23

Yeah we knew Danielle and Allie were coming back so Sydney coming over from OSU is great. She joins a lot of Gate kids from Fairfield county so closer to home for her parents to be able to see more games. Unfortunately I think the other Sydney, i.e., Bard is graduating and moving on. Also saw Chan and Duarte are newly listed on the transfer portal. Golnitz has already signed with St. Thomas back in MN. As we get better good players may not get the playing time they feel they deserve..it's a problem. Hope Katie stays, it's impossible to knock her off her feet and she's a great sniper, and I really like Duarte too from what I saw of her. Oh well the new class looks really talented too.

What about other '23 Srs like Smigs or O'Donahoe? I read a while ago Maggie M was headed to PSU as her bro plays hockey there, is that still on or is she staying as well?
 
All things considered, with the number of new D coming in (4 or 5) as well as some new forwards we should remain very solid top to bottom even if we lose Katie and Duarte..Very tough competition for all roster spots it appears plus a motivated DS coming back having experienced the crazy speed and commitment required to play world class hockey with and against the best. All good...

Also, can't wait to see Nemo as a pro on the forecheck and setting up down low and driving teams crazy. She's a force.
 
We need to be more competitive with the top Western teams. Some great offense this season but defense wins championships. Thought N’eastern & PSU were overrated all year due to their SOS, and they were exposed in the playoffs much like Colgate.

I saw her talking with her mother for an extended amount of time at our hotel during the FF. I can't help being curious if they were contemplating a jump at that time?
Our loss is certainly your gain, I feel she'll be a great addition to your D.
 
Time to start the 2023-24 Thread. Rightnut will you do the honors please?

4 players at both the US and Can Dev camps this summer and at least 1 '24-25 recruit on each the of the US and Can U-18 teams...

Is this our year? We should be tough!
