Colgate 2022-23

Very disappointing per usual. I must admit to being fooled as well and believe we have underachieved, especially in handling the last ten minutes of a hockey game. Time for new leadership.

We haven’t won a regulation 60 minute hockey game since January 21 against Q-PAC. Unacceptable. Thank God we were good in overtime and shootouts. I believe that TEN games.

We are all emotionally exhausted and frustrated ! Greencoat we have the same thing with our Browns. Time for me to focus on my Bruins and maybe go see a Utica Univ #1 PWR and #1 poll game.

Hope our ladies win today, I'd love to see the NCAA tourney in Hamilton for a game. If they lose to Princeton today they will be in the tourney but probably not home.

Touch?

Try touche, with accent ague (sp)

Yuk! Can't believe posters were singing the praise of the team and DV just a few weeks ago and now the general feeling is to jettison the coach and dump on the team. This is college hocky....anything can happen any given day. (Even the Rangers have an off game....or four!....haha) Nothing is guaranteed, vs any opponent. It wouldn't surprise me to see us take care of business against the Hanoverians and go on to down SLU in 3 games, as Magoo posted.

Tried correct spelling of touch? but they kept changing it. I would add that ten consecutive games without a regulation win would challenge the patience of any fan base.

That’s the spirit Colskate!

I know I said that the Dartmouth game can go either way but it’s going our way. Then we can talk about SLU.

Went to the game last night and was impressed by the Colgate presence at the rink. Always nice to catch a game at Ingalls. The parking ticket was not so nice; thanks, New Haven.

Sorry they gave you a parking ticket. You can park for free in the Peabody Museum lot, a 5 minute walk away, or park in the garage at the rink. $10 I think.

I got a parking ticket further down Sachem St. despite the fact that the meter was not even functioning (quite a few clearly weren't). The parking enforcement is trash and evidently the city of New Haven needs to scrounge all the money it can get.

Just some housekeeping…

Dartmouth at Colgate is on FRIDAY at 7 p.m.
(despite CHN listing it for Saturday)

Princeton at Union is on SATURDAY at 4 p.m. and
Yale at RPI is at 7 p.m. making a double possible.

Brown at Clarkson is on SATURDAY at 4 p.m.

Also on Friday, the Colgate women face Quinnipiac at the Whale at 6:30 pm in the ECAC semifinals. They are fun to watch!!! Go 'gate!!!

I would have expected all 1st round games to be on Saturday, so the players of the visiting teams won't miss Friday classes. Looks like all ECAC fans will have their eyes on us Friday night.

Thanks, RPIfan.

So has anyone definitively figured out why the first-round games are one-n-done and not the usual best-of-three? Normally one can follow the money trail, but that (saving on travel expenses?) doesn’t seem like a good enough reason in this case (lost ticket revenue for host sites). Thanks.

Attendance is usually pretty bad at these first round games. Maybe that went into the decision to make it one game.

Magoo… did it have anything to do with a possibility of women hosting games? I don’t follow them enough to know how Yale became this weekend’s host site.
