Colgate 2020-21

Happy 2021 'Gate fans! Looking forward to the game today vs Clarkson. I really hope Watson-Brawn will be back in the lineup today and hope Austin's injury isn't serious.
I watched most of the game yesterday between SLU and QU. I agree with IOWA, I thought SLU played fast, gritty hockey. I think QU was a bit surprised. I didn't see OT and the shootout, but I came away being very impressed with the Saints. Go 'Gate!!

TY Iowa, thought I was having the old ESPN+ issues I had in the past. Was hoping Notre Dame-Bama would be a good game but it's 21-7 already.

I watched Providence-Vermont skate to a scoreless tie after 3-on-3 OT earlier. Now watching New Hampshire-Connecticut, 1-1, after two.
Hockey East games are free and accessible (and very entertaining). Waiting now for Clarkson-Colgate... UConn wins it, 2-1.

Carter Gylander in goal for Colgate.
Ethan Haider in net for Clarkson.

My guess is Clarkson leading SOG.
Clarkson 1, Colgate 0, after one.
Gylander screened on a Jack Jacome shot at 13:39.
Many poor passes on our part, I thought.

PPG by Clarkson's Connor McCarthy at 7:10 of second.
Alex Young beautiful shot and goal at 11:01 after a successful Colgate penalty kill.
Two seconds left in the second and Clarkson's Zach Tsekos scores a PPG.

Colgate 21, Clarkson 17, SOG after two (approximate).
Clarkson 3, Colgate 1, score after two.
Need to do a better job of staying out of the penalty box.

Clarkson's Nick Campoli scored a beauty at 13:54 of the third.

Colgate 36, Clarkson 25, final SOG (approximate).
Clarkson 4, Colgate 1, final score.

Colgate 0 for 5 on the Power Play.

Our forechecking is abysmal and we miss Watson-Brawn and Austin on defense, though Anderson is doing a good job. Hopefully a better outcome on Sunday. Go 'Gate!

I totally whiffed on yesterday's game due to rabid ND-'Bama football. Hope today's game will be on ESPN+. Anybody know for sure?

Saint Lawrence 4, Quinnipiac 2, final today.
Swiss goalie Emil Zetterquist the difference for SLU.
Colgate at Clarkson coming up at 4 on ESPN+.

IOWA - it was a great game between SLU and QU and Zetterquist was amazing! I also thought SLU carried a lot of the play throughout the game and they were very quick to the puck. In my opinion, the best team won.

Andrew Farrier in goal for Colgate.
Ethan Hauder in goal for Clarkson.

Clarkson score by Grant Cooper.
Going to be a long game if we don’t play better. Trouble just carrying the puck into their end.

Clarkson 12, Colgate 5, SOG after one.
Clarkson 1, Colgate 0, score after one.

Separate subject... Shabby, totally agree. For a team that had four wins all last year, Saint Lawrence is now 1-0-1 this year. It is great for Saint Lawrence, ECAC Hockey and all of NCAA D-1 men's ice hockey to have them lift themselves up (with a renovated Appleton Arena). Very exciting.

Clarkson 1, Colgate 0, score after one.

Clarkson 1, Colgate 0, score after two.

We are back to making our goalie (Farrier) do it all.

Defenseman Anderson scored. Tied 1-1.
Headed to 3-on-3 OT.

1-1 tie after OT.
Andrew Farrier played a great game.
Colgate overpowered Clarkson on faceoffs.
Defenseman scored our only goal.

overtime (i mean shootout). I generally am all up on the new rules but this shoot out thing took me by surprise. what is the point system for the league this year...thank you

In league play, Regulation Wins (RW) are 3 points, 3x3 Overtime/Shootout Wins (OW) are 2 points, and 3x3 Overtime/Shootout Losses (OL) are 1 point.

Nice to get two points when objectively we probably deserved zero...sloppy all around, with trouble again in getting the puck out of our defensive zone and bad passing all around...Farrier was very solid...we do miss Watson-Braun and Austin, but frosh defensemen, although somewhat mistake prone, look like talented adds...this is a good freshman class and they will get better and better...PP still very messy...the Young Line is fast and skilled but needs support from other forwards...just keep getting better even (like tonight) there are bumps in the road...

We now play SLU six out of the next eight games ! Q-Pac the other two, very strange this year.

What is even stranger, to me, is that we don’t even know to what this is all going to lead. ECAC tourney on one weekend in an on-campus environment? A smoke-filled room to determine the x number of NCAA tourney bids? Then what? An NCAA tournament pod (a la Omaha)?
