The silence you are noting leads to the suspicion that a replacement was all but set and ready to go as Casey went off to UConn. This is my guess about the circumstances there.
Has anyone heard anything about Neumann??

Not at all, they are notorious for being ultra slow with their process. Go back and look when Casey was hired, (the end of the summer), when the former coach left in June.

Schools often do that to save money on the two or three months of pay.

That seems to be the case but I doubt how the candidate pool will improve in the last week of June and into the Summer now. Some primary recruiting events are already starting.

Maybe they are finally offering more money.
Concordia of Moorhead will start interviewing for their new womens coach mid July. Since my daughter will be attending there this fall I am waiting with anticipation.From talking to the assistant coach there are some good ones who applied.

You'd have to think she's leaving....maybe to UNE or perhaps more likely given the timeline, William Smith? She'd obviously be qualified but who knows if she'd want to go from a top team to a building project.
IF p-burgh is adding a 2nd full-timer, which I would find hard to believe, then they pretty much have no excuse not to be in the Final 4 every season since there are still some schools out there without full time head coaches and a very large majority of schools that don't have a single full time assistant
