Climate Change 3: Whatever you do don't call it a twatwaffle

Headline this morning said that Europe is cooking. Temps in the 100's and fire everywhere. Clearly climate change is a hoax.

Objective because you say so? I admire your ability to parse things. I do the same every day. But fuck him and his objective data. It's too fucking late and Manchin is in control anyway. Let the World end is every billionaire's motto right now.

@BigJoeBastardi has been watching US and Europe, and pulling in historic comparisons. Most folks here won't like his views, but he puts out the objective data whether it supports his POV or not.

Today he's got his eye on the most likely place for an all-time French record high.

I'm probably not going to look at a source you recommend (your oeuvre does not inspire confidence), but did this source actually look at long term historical trends? It seems undeniable to me that the hockey stick is real. One thing that has always struck me is this: whether or not you want to blame fossil fuels for the higher temperatures, there is complete scientific consensus that they exacerbate the effects, so even if you want to blame God or gremlins or normal variation, that does not relieve us from the responsibility for doing something about it. The river rises -- you don't say, "well, I didn't cause it so I'm not putting up sandbags."

While the world burns lets all look at how objective some assholes maps are and marvel at him pointing out how record hot it's going to be.

Burn, World, burn.

TBH I'd be fine if we rid ourselves of the gerontocracy, but Joe is no worse than Dump or the other dinosaurs.

No. But serious science people who put out facts, as left leaning as they may be, don’t tweet out stuff about “dump”. Not if they want to be taken serious for scientific knowledge, was my point

bastardi is a loon climate change denier. He's worse than useless.

Edit: Oh my god. From wiki

CO2 cannot cause global warming. I'll tell you why. It doesn't mix well with the atmosphere, for one. For two, its specific gravity is 1 1/2 times that of the rest of the atmosphere. It heats and cools much quicker. Its radiative processes are much different. So it cannot -- it literally cannot cause global warming. --- Joe Bastardi, Fox Business, March 9, 2012.[17]

Jesus... He has no idea about the ease of mixing two gasses in extremely turbulent and dynamic systems. It's almost impossible to separate gasses in systems like that, and certainly not by density. Much less the idea that it's acting as a heat reservoir as opposed to the actual process of how it causes global warming.

What a fucking clown ass idiot asstalker.

Hahaha. He also seems to think that we should burn more fossil fuels since solar panel recycling isn’t up to par yet .

burn baby burn

He has to; it's a must in his job. He's Chief Meteorologist for WeatherBell.com, the private, long-range forecasting service used by energy, ag, retail, construction, insurance companies, to plan their work three to six months from now. The guy rolls out data from 100+ years ago to do trending and pattern analysis to make his weather predictions.

He's expecting an all-time hottest ever recorded number in France today. He's also pointing out that NE Europe is far below average while France and the UK are above. Based on this summer's CONUS patterns he's expecting a significant hurricane to land in the NE US this fall.

As far as your sandbagging query, remember, I live in the bottom of what was a glacial lake just 10,000 years ago. Where'd the glacier go that used to be here 30,000 years ago that left that lake?

During the last ice age, northern North America was covered by an ice sheet, which alternately advanced and retreated with variations in the climate. This continental ice sheet formed during the period now known as the Wisconsin glaciation, and covered much of central North America between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago. As the ice sheet disintegrated, its meltwaters created an immense proglacial lake.[SUP][6][/SUP]

Around 13,000 years ago, this lake came to cover much of what are now southeastern Manitoba, northwestern Ontario, northern Minnesota, eastern North Dakota, and Saskatchewan.

PS - "Wisconsin glaciation" ... can't trust Wisconsin.

Have they not heard of concrete runways in the UK? They seriously have asphalt runways?

A fully loaded/fueled B-52 weighs just short of 500,000 pounds! How does asphalt support that on a cool day? Even Grand Forks (city and AFB) and Fargo have concrete runways.
