As we all know here-I am not enthusiastic about that first pairing. Why are we so blessed in the final weekend of the season? What will get called with under 2 minutes left in this game?

Didn't we have this pairing fairly recently? We seemed to do OK. Plus, it's at HFH, so I'm sure Kotyra remembers section 33, and which I did not do nor condone.

If he makes an interference call on Nick in the last 2 minutes on a player who just had the puck-he will be put on our list(and remember Jenny is a very connected Italian girl).;)

The last time he tried that at HFH, section 33 threw towels at him. I don't think he'll make that mistake again.

In my history of attending RPI games-I have been upset by officials many times. I yelled and screamed and booed and hissed. But never really lost it totally. We did have a couple episodes though where Jenny lost it and one where my mother, who attended some of the games with us, had to be held back. Both times the ref involved was the notorious Mike Noeth (who i bring up from time to time). I had to pull Jen away from the area where the officials exit the rink when she tried to take a shot at him and once had to haul my mother off the railing as he went by.

I believe Farynuk and a couple players had to hold Fridgen back from going after Hansen in his last regular season game.

Not a bad interview. The most surprising thing was that he considers Union to be our #1 rival instead of Clarkson. Maybe our younger fans (and I'm sure, the media) feel the same way, but most RPI fans that I know feel its been Clarkson, and will always be Clarkson.

Been a fan for 30 years and completely disagree. It has been Union for at least the last 10 years IMO. It takes 2 and I don't even think Clarkson fans/alumni consider RPI their top rival.

Tend to agree with this. Most Clarkson folks I've talked to hold RPI a distant third behind SLU and Cornell at this point.

SLU has always been CCT's #1 rival. As to us or Cornell as #2, I don't know. It probably depends upon the person, but I would think that we would win out more than not.

I would consider Union a rival if we were discussing football. Not hockey, though.

For me, Cornell is #2 - but that's because I work in Ithaca and have way too many Cornell fans working with me :(

Certainly when I was in school, RPI was #2 - the highlight of my freshman year was wearing black to the RIP game

No they are not a hockey rival at all.:rolleyes: Only the coaches, players and other school think so. Why should you. Question, Why would you hate them so much and stalk their thread if they were not a rival in your mind?

I consider them a rival, but since they did not have a team when I was in Troy, it is hard to put them near the top.
