Now the only thing better would if the Sioux win thursday and then Frattin checks a guy with his shoulder in the open ice on friday and gets three games for a clean check.

For all of the moronic statements that claim Frattin didn't make contact with the head, could one of the morons issuing such a statement please explain to me exactly how Kevin Wehrs sustained a concussion if no contact was made to the head? I really am quite flabbergasted that any of you are remotely defending this. The hypocricy is the finger pointing at Paukovich and Marvin, but a cheap shot issued by a sue player is good hard nosed physical hockey? Frattin was just as cheap as those other 2 were. Maybe not as severe but cheap none the less. Anyone defending Frattin on this are simply blinded by their undying allegiance to the sue. Fine I guess, but it still makes you a moron.

I'm not defending the hit in any way but certainly you don't have to have contact to the head to get a concussion. I mean, you could body check someone really hard causing their head to then hit the wall, the ice, etc.

I can accept that argument; however, why would that make it less viscious? Furthermore, that isn't what happened here. Wehrs' head didn't hit the boards and it didn't hit the ice with any velocity at all.

Yes. Almington tackled me last year at the Final Five. He never hit me in the head but I'm pretty sure I still got a concussion.
Frattin is obviously an innocent victim in all of this. The WCHA just has a vendetta against him because he steals people's souls.

Hopefully it's not as bad as Genoway's concussion. If those Messier helmets help the Gophers should pick them up.
