Castleton

Re: Castleton

Castleton had a big weekend. Although Conn College and Tufts are not great teams, they beat them handidly. The Stefan-Harris combination is the best in the country.

Re: Castleton

seems like Spartans are not getting much respect here they were ranked #2 in the country in the pairwise rankings going into the weekend but certainly the Norwich game at home on feb 12th is going to be the big game they beat Norwich in Northfield in december in a non leaguer in ot so i am sure Norwich will be looking to turn the tables besides they still are the defending national champions

February 11th is the Castleton/Norwich showdown.

Re: Castleton

With 3 weeks left in the season I see that Castletons last 2 weekends they have a tough schedule facing Norwich at home a St. Mikes team who could suprise them and on the road against a revamped Midd. and a very strong Williams team. I think if the Spartans keep playing the way they have been and keep getting better every game they could potentialy be a special team by the time playoffs come around. Any other thoughts?

Re: Castleton

With their current record I would say they already are a special team. They have a very easy pair of games this coming weekend, at least on paper, while the Cadets take on two very difficult games. At this time they have to be considered the favorites to win the ECAC East regular season. Looking back should it happen it would be the first time the Cadets have not won it.

(Since the opening of Kreitzberg) The last time we didn't win the ECAC East regular season was the year we played in Barre

Re: Castleton

that was before the interlock. We lost to Conn College 6-7 in overtime after defeating Babson 5-0 and the top seed Holy Cross 5-3

I know, but it was still the ECAC East - it just had the (dead to me) NESCACs as full (sorta) members and the DI's that left to go to the AHA.

Of course, if we can pull it out, Norwich can claim to never have lost the ECAC East Regular Season title in the Interlock era.

I feel pretty confident that Norwich is going to play one of its best games, if not its best game to date on Feb. 11th. The boys are going to be ready and raring to stick it to Castleton after the Spartans won here earlier in the season.

That's what I hear, too. Unfortunately, my wife and I have other plans for that weekend.

Prez Castleton is the hottest team in D3 right now and hasn't lost a game in a couple of months. I just hope Norwich wins at least one game this weekend to set up the big ECAC East battle in a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to this game much more then the Middlebury game Friday.

Your point? Norwich has a pretty darn good team too when all the pieces fall together. There is no doubt Castleton is very good team. But, let's not forget that Castleton looked at that Norwich game at Kreitzberg earlier this season as "The Game". They came at us hard and earned the win. However, Norwich will be much more focused on beating the Spartans this time around now that the roles have almost been reversed a bit.

Re: Castleton

As I said last week , Hawk is now the Spartan Mascot  now we need him to get a season,s ticket for their rink and move out of Section 15 F 1. Maybe we all can chuck a puck for hawk and he will move on.:p:p:

Re: Castleton

Hawk I made a misprint, you are on the other end of F row. My bad to the fan in 15 F1 SORRY;););)

Re: Castleton

Well Castleton and Norwich both made it threw the weekend with out a loss so it looks like this Friday's game is going to be a huge one! Cant wait

Should be a good game but IMO Norwich will take the game..I also think CSC will have trouble with Middlebury and Williams (at least one of the games) as they are tough playing back to back especially on the road...I will say seeing them play on Friday was fun as I didn't have to worry about what was going on behind my back the whole game...Good team, very good team but they need some adversity and I think we will see just how good they are after the these next set of games...I will never root for them but the players aren't the ones I dislike so it wasn't bad Friday...:)

Re: Castleton

ya this game will probably set up where the tournament final 4 will be played because if Norwich wins they have a pretty easy last three games that they will probably not lose 2 out of the 3 of them. If Castleton wins that will let them lose one of those final 3 games most likely a lose would come at the hands of either Middlebury or Williams and i don't think they would lose to both if they can pull out a Norwich victory on Friday.

We already play the Spartans twice a season, I don't think we want to meet them three times or more if we meet in the playoffs. I think you might see more ECAC West teams show up in the PrimeLink.

So who is it that you don't like if not the players? The fans? Or is this STILL about arena staff?
