And she didn't find a way to inspire those who didn't care at all.

Wrong candidate, with the wrong message, for the current times. By not running a fair and open primary, as opposed to a coronation, the DNC shouldn't be placing the blame anywhere but on themselves. The set the foundation for this loss 18 months ago.
And that's why we're seeing a movement to take the Dems to the left by folks like Bernie.

"I told you so" is a great way to grab power.

It was a fair primary. She beat Bernie. It sucks but it is true. Yes some were trying to force it, but they didnt need to he didnt have the votes.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Even the worst tyranny in the US has a time limit. We don't need to, indeed we should not ever aspire to, overthrow the tyrant. Our watchword should always be "slooooooooooow it down." Grit in the gears and red tape are our friends. Our job is to limit the damage that is done until people come back to their senses (or, more likely, until the fickle public turns the arrow of blame back to the other side).

You mean ... gridlock?

Calling the Democratic primaries a coronation or rigged comes off a little Trumpish, considering somebody beat out Hillary under more or less the same circumstances in 2008. The better candidate won the primary in '08 and '16.

As for the whole inspiration thing, that's about 90% on the fact that people were hit over the head with Emailz! and 'Hillary did the Benghazi!' and 'Trump's charity is a scam, so the Clinton's bigger charity must be a bigger scam!' to the point that they just couldn't get it up to go vote against fascism. People say they want a nicer tone in politics, but that's just a laughable platitude because they validated the nastiest campaign by giving in to what it was trying to do. Experts talked a lot about Trump's negative attacks firing up the base, but really, it was more about depressing the turnout of non-Dems that would never vote for someone like Trump.

Whatever. Four years of Chief Strategist Bannon in the president's ear will make Hillary's 'women's rights are human rights' look a lot more inspirational.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

The FBI isnt why she lost nor is Russia. When people use excuses like that they are no better than Faux News or Trump for that matter. She lost because of her strategy and her personality and a bunch of people who didnt care about anyone but themselves.
No. It's all of the above. Those things are included. It was close no matter what Priebus and Donald say (they're saying landslide by the way).

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Voting in free elections is something to never be ashamed of.

Fine. If you want to give everyone a participation trophy, then they don't need to be ashamed for voting. They should definitely be ashamed of the consequences of their vote.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

George Will is now fine with Trump because it'll get a 25 year conservative Supreme Court.
And Trump brings in Reince Priebus.

Operation: SHARKJUMP ... engaged.

It should have always been about the Court. Liberals don't care about the Supreme Court.

I wouldnt listen to Priebus if he was giving me the winning Powerball numbers the day before the drawing ;)

You know the guy's a dingbat when even the architect behind Trump's message doesn't want him... (see link earlier)

Correct. I have no reason to think Sanders voters didn't show up. It could have been but I kinda doubt it. Whatever the reason, 6M Obama voters from 2012 stayed home. That's the problem. Not every nominee is going to be JFK. Trump got the usual 60M votes that the GOP always gets. He may end up with less votes than Romney. Dems did this to themselves.
