Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Or, it is a disinformation campaign designed to get the media and Dems in a tizzy over Sarah Palin et al and they won't be able to investigate/vet the real nominees before the announcements.

I've been hoping that he's circulating some names that people would consider the dregs of the GOP so that when he produces his real list, which will have two or three of these people included, the rest of it will shine like freshly shined shoes compared to the list people have now.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave you met Donald? He's in sales. He schmoozes and sells an idea.

Typically in business you sell something with the intention of providing said something.
Otherwise, I believe it is called a con.

"Rethuglican" or "Demoncrat" everyone should be opposed to Palin as a cabinet member. You boys snarked about "PDS" 8 years ago, but she has since proven that she really is that unqualified, and that stupid.

EDIT: If we can keep Christie and Twit Palin out of his cabinet, I'm willing to compromise on Fig Newton and Rudy (who actually is qualified for AG, despite his revolting Trump cheerleading).

Palin has no business in government.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

As for the rest of Trump's cabinet appointments? Oh dear Cthulhu, we're boned. If Jamie Dimon really is in the mix, that's just another Facebook post I can make to throw it in the face of my Trumper uncle who thinks he such an "outsider".

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

I know it was posted earlier, but that British guy's rant was spot-on.

He, along with Michael Moore of all people, really nailed it.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

FWIW I disagree. As we're just talkin, I hope you take this the right way. Due to inflammitory remarks, Trump supporters have given a wide variety of excuses as to why they want to or did vote for him (usually targeting Hillary or the Dems).

When Obama was elected there were several that supported him and voted for him. This time around, nearly 100% Trump. The reason why, for almost 100% of them? Their health care and insurance costs have increased by about a factor of 7 under Obama.

So who voted for Trump? 1) About 80% of those that usually vote GOP and 2) rural but often dem voters from PA, OH, MI, WI, MN and IA...the point is largly dem states. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...ump-pushed-the-election-map-to-the-right.html see the last chart on which counties flipped

Firstly, whatever has worked in the past for most of America is the same old story again for the vast majority again. This is typically a values argument with a belief that this guy will make my life better. And the GOP never quite has the time for the 'this guy will make my life better' part. So its the same stuff as usual.

Secondly, Trumps main improvements did not occur in the deep south or western conservative states...more importantly Trumps reach didn't budge an inch in the cities. Obamacare exists in equal measure in these locations also. The difference was that Trump did not run as a social conservative. He was continually attacked from all sides during the primaries for not being a conservative at all. It was primarily due to not really taking a heart filled stand on meat and potato issues like abortion, porn, families, small govt, etc. What he did do is ramp up the immigration message with isolation and terrorism rhetoric and couple that with how he was going to help the poor.

In addition to conservatives, small town Midwest is made up of lunchpale democrats who are socially moderate, ok with government services but notably concerned about immigration and terror. It is the fact that Trump moved away from traditional conservative values and towards isolation and having govt help address small town challenge, rather than dislike for just one policy, is what won him the small town Midwest and give him the key states.

Reuters made it sound like Dimon will turn him down...probably doesnt want the pay cut ;)

So where are all the people who ripped Hillary for "Pay for Play" to rip Drumpf for the Pam Bondi deal? I mean the only reason she is getting the position she is getting is because of the gift she handed him with Drumpf University (along with the bribe she got) so we should be mere hours away from some real scathing attacks on Drumpf right? Anyone? Bueller?

This has to be a record...I mean he didnt even wait a week and he already broke multiple campaign promises, went against the whole "outsider" mantra" and committed the very crimes he ripped his opponent for. (re: Pay for Play) Meanwhile he has ignored that in his name some ridiculously vile things are being done. But at least a bunch of jerkoffs in Michigan and Wisconsin got to say "F You" to Washington...this country is so flipping stupid.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

I'd snark about George Soros' deep pockets, if RT wasn't already "reporting" that Soros is the one funding the protests. The exact same playbook the Kremlin used in the Ukraine.

Trump will get to settle a score against someone who is actually rich, and have a way to justify whatever means he uses to put down those protests.

Like I said, watch what is about to happen to George Soros. Not even a week after the election and Trump is already going after political enemies. It cuts the funding for any voice of opposition(But I'm sure you guys that bought EMAILZ! hook, line, and sinker will do a tremendous job seeing through the deluge from Trump's Vengeance PAC*) and continues to push the Great Zionist Globalist Conspiracy. This stuff isn't a joke anymore. Hey, at least you got Trump's health care plan**.

*Cut to 2020: "Look, I don't like what happened to (insert non-valued citizens here) either, and I don't support Trump, but it's just a shame that both candidates are so bad, man."

**Which, oh by the way, four days in, is now down to "Obamacare, but with a few strategic fixes," which.....is exactly what Hillary's plan was. Maybe it would have been wise to ask at least once what his position was before selling your soul for it.

EDIT: If we can keep Christie and Twit Palin out of his cabinet, I'm willing to compromise on Fig Newton and Rudy (who actually is qualified for AG, despite his revolting Trump cheerleading).

Bringing back the House Un-American Activities Committee is our compromise. Think about that for a minute.

Protip: Just because somebody speaks in a British accent doesn't make them intelligent.

His argument, as best I could tell, was 1) LOUD NOISES!!! 2) Hillary wasn't flashy and exciting enough because she was too busy talking about the issues 3) Hillary didn't talk enough about the issues, because she was too busy being flashy and exciting with concerts, celebrity endorsements, etc. 4) MORE LOUD NOISES!!!

Palin has no business in government.
Expanding on my earlier post, you know who could keep Palin out? Lisa Murkowski.

Some background: Lisa and Sarah, while both high profile politicians from Alaska, do not like each other. Essentially the AK GOP is largely two factions, Palin and the Tea Party ultra conservatives and Murkowski and the more moderate corporate conservatives. Palin has largely supported efforts to unseat Murkowski in the past decade but it hasn't worked. The other quibble is the fact that the previous Governor Palin unseated was Lisa's father Frank, who left the US Senate to be Governor then appointed Lisa to the seat (something Palin used to win her primary and something she constantly uses against Murkowski).

The other angle, Murkowski was part of the #NeverTrump movement, to the point she resigned party leadership positions because didn't support Trump. She's a textbook "Washington insider" and likely has zero love for Trump.

Given all that, I could easily see Murkowski leading a fight to squash any Palin cabinet bid. Why? Murkowski just got reelected. She's got 6 long years to reelection and a prime time opportunity to cut a political rival off at the knees.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Palin has no business in government.

Palin has no part in any government higher than 8th grade class president in a small rural middle school. BUT she has the support of the "Ignorance for America" gang that has taken over the wheel of that party and, it seems, the country.

She would be a perfectly fitting choice for this Administration. And Kim Kardashian would be very terrific as chief of staff. Her husband's black, isn't he? Donald loves blacks, and it would be his way of helping the inner cities. Just as he is going to help the struggling poor in Red Country by giving tax breaks to one-percenters like himself. Wanted change? You got change.

People did not go back to their houses after electing Trump last Tuesday, they went back to their caves.

Re: Campaign XXVI: The Drumpf World Order

Three things struck me this weekend. The first was Kate McKinnon's opeing performance on SNL. The second was the lost Supreme Court for the rest of my natural life. The third was how science is dead in all our government policy decisions.

I think at this point it makes me sad more than anything else. Very sad.

But dude is right...those are things that win elections. It is the most ridiculous thing in history but it is true. People need to be wowed to vote otherwise it is back to their phones. The guy is basically pointing out everything that is wrong with the electorate even though that is not his point. We may not like it but it is true.

We saw it with Brexit too. How many people the next day were ticked off about it who didnt vote or voted to screw everyone because they thought it wouldnt matter? How many of the protesters the last few days do you want to bet didnt vote or went third party because they "wanted to make a point"? I bet the percentage is high enough that it would have made the difference. They arent racist...they are just lazy and incredibly stupid. (especially since the 3rd Party candidates were the biggest jokes of all) And now we all have to pay for that.

These people dont care that Hillary is "friends" with Jay-Z and did concerts with him...to them she looks like your mom trying to look cool dancing to music she is way to lame to deal with. They dont care about her policies...that would take research and time. They care about the superficial and the selfish...and Donald destroys her on that. (he was on TV and owns buildings!!! He wants to help my life!!!)
