Calgary Ted's plan is working to perfection. The Impotent Boner can't even get a simple Iran deal disapproval bill through the House without it turning into a mess. What do people think is going to happen when the govt shutdown deadline is looming? I'm guessing Ted forces a shutdown and laps up the praise in the right wing media.

A Shutdown will kill him if he makes it to the general though...I know there is no such thing as bad press but a Shutdown will destroy his shot at President.

This is a big mistake. Carson is beloved, and Trump is only highlighting the difference in character between the two men. At some point people are going to say, "he's not really speaking his mind; he's just a bully."

I think it's his only choice, though. He's running around 5% in the polls. He needs a USP,and his best way to clear a lane is to force a shutdown, drape himself in the PP fight, and hope that Trump does something so horrible that there's a mass desertion just when he's tub thumping the loudest. It's the old west salesman trick: you let the revival preacher build the crowd and then you step in, take them over, and sell your snake oil.

Among Republicans his net favorability is higher than Reagan. He's +50.


I don't think you're their target demographic, Scoob. :)

Quinnipiac has Sanders up 1 in Iowa now. Although NBC still has Hillary up double digits as of Sunday.

This is why I laugh about some of the polling we've been seeing lately. I doubt more than 50% of Republicans even know who the F Ben Carson is! Let alone giving him a net 50% approval for a guy who, lets be honest, is nuts but without half the flair of The Donald.

Likewise someone had a poll of Jebbers! (and Hillary to be fair) with like a 60% disapproval rating? :confused: Look, I'm no fan of Bush, but I find it hard to believe 60% of the population has that negative of a view of the dude especially since he's run a low wattage, fly under the radar candidacy so far.

PS - Anybody see Trump's Carly Fiorina comment? :eek: :D

This coming from the guy who still hasn't figured out why Obama has been a more conservative President than GW Bush. My opinions are clear why you'll continue to play martyr games.

Hillary's trajectory has to be beyond troubling to her. And she has way too much time for the trajectory to continue. I'm guessing Biden's entry is getting more likely by the day unless he just doesn't want to do it.

Might also be internal Democratic Party rules that cap at two the number of candidates for President who are 117 years old or older.
