So what's the postmortem?

Hillary got soundly rejected.

Third Way needs to go. Time to start moving left. Ditch Wall Street and start adopting more heavily Social Democratic policies.

Most importantly, pray to every deity that the Rs aren't able to torch everything.

It's not just Hillary. I don't know how other states went, but dems up and down the ballot got trounced in Iowa.

The night wasn't a total loss. McCrory lost the NC governors race. So HB2 will likely be repealed.

It wasn't jest Hillary, the whole Democratic Party was soundly defeated. I'm not sure that moving more to the left is the correct lesson to learn from last night.

Republicans are back in power in Minnesota.

Last time they passed a gay marriage ban, a voter ID law, and ****canned the credit rating. Can hardly wait to see what they do this time.

Yeah...this election proves that unless the candidate is inspiring (see: Obama) this country is not left of center.

I thought the people who thought Michelle Obama was a "Gorilla" were in the minority...last night proved they werent.

I thought this country was smart...but working class whites just elected a man who has spent most of his career screwing over working class people.

He also had a majority of college educated white men.

Almost seems like there is a war between the educated, and the not so educated. And the "not" is winning, and doing a great job of making sure there are more and more "nots" coming along with the cuts to education.

I'm personally worried about my job. With deregulation, and the want to reverse a lot of Obama's policies- I worry if my skill is really that needed anymore. I guess I have to focus on being the cheapest based on the relaxation of the rules. It sure puts a chink into two projects if we need them or not.

Well they TPaw then too...Dayton isnt going to just sit back and look the other way. Of course then I am sure he will get voted out because things are terrible here unlike WI where Walker has things humming.

Kansas is no longer the poster child for "voting against self interest". WI watched a Republican crater their economy and tripled down by voting in Senators and Reps who are Republican and Michigan watched the GOP nickle and dime their state to the point that lead pipes are poisoning people...and they doubled down and voted GOP for President. Congratulations Michigan and Wisconsin...Kansas welcomes you!

Minnesota is right behind them. Give it a couple more years. Klobuchar is done. Franken is done. Dayton is done. No way any of them get reelected now.

Duckworth soundly trounced Kirk. Most of the house seats went blue. And the transportation lockbox funds amendment passed with 71% yes.

First time I can ever say Illinois gas had it's sh** together. Too bad our temporary state budget expires in December and we go back to the same old bullsh**.

Michigan has spent most of the last 20 years letting R's dismantle the state. And somehow even with them in the power, another R is going to somehow bring it back? How people are that gullible is stunning.

It's kind of nice to be in Ann Arbor, where UM has figured out how to prosper in spite of the state and it's support. Heck, even the local schools are still doing well.
