The guy screeched in 2012 for revolution when Obama was reelected. Of course he's going to call for it again when he's been throwing gas on the fire. We get to find out who are willing put their money where their mouth is, to our dismay.

Went back to 2008. By the end of the campaign the McCain-Palin rallies were looking like Klan rallies. Domestic terrorism is always a concern. However, Trumpsters aren't any more depraved and angry now than they were 8 years ago. They are more vocal however.

Just put everybody on Trump's inevitable #itwasrigged group on the watch list. And extend No Fly to Greyhound.

And build that wall.

Rover, I think you are vastly underestimating how angry they are going to be that their racist worldview was soundly rejected.

After being able to partially validate it with a major presidential candidate.

I am worried about violence from his brownshirts when he goes Full Goebbels.

Out there in the right-wing forest primeval, a few million psychos have been masturbating themselves to sleep every night dreaming of immanentizing the Eschaton that Hate Radio has been bloviating about for 20 years. They're getting old, their dicks don't work, their families have unfriended them and this is all they have to live for. It only takes a half dozen of them to bring down a federal building with a nursery, murder a hundred kids at a sleep-away camp, or, for that matter, firebomb their own office and then bleat about "lefty intolerance."

Nobody breathing through the last 20 years of America politics can claim "how could we have known?" The only thing preventing people from recognizing this is an existential threat to democracy are people who believe it can't happen here. But it can -- the nomination of Trump has already proven that. One of our major political parties has a significant minority of domestic terrorists. I have no desire to experiment with what psi will set that explosive off.

I've been saying this in one fashion or another since March. It began to look plausible to me in February after the first nominating contests in Iowa and NH. It became reality to me in March when I began attending Trump rallies. This is a dangerous time for America, as dangerous as we've faced in my lifetime. And it won't end when we wake up November 9th, even when we wake up to a Clinton victory.

This election has revealed something about the soul of America that some didn't believe existed in significant numbers anymore. It has emboldened some to action where before they used only words. I believe the most serious threats are nation has faced to its survival have always been from within. We do it to ourselves. Much like we treat our own bodies. We are far more likely to die prematurely because of something we do to ourselves -- smoke, drink and drive or refuse to wear a seatbelt, inability to pass up the third piece of cake -- than we are to die at the hands of someone else, either maliciously or accidentally. The Trump phenomena is both malicious and accidental, and that makes it even more scary for me.

And living inside an Echo Chamber that assures them every day that the vast majority of Americans believe what they do, and it's only liberals, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, Jews, and feminists who are keeping them from sweeping every election by 20 points.

Fumigate your party, Republicans. We did it fifty years ago. Now you do it and they'll have nowhere else to go but their bunkers.

Trump is only bringing it to the surface. Even if Trump choked on Putin's cock this afternoon it would still be with us. The lesson here is the one Von Hindenburg learned, and which the GOP is learning: if you ride the tiger you will be eaten by the tiger.

This movement is one element short of the American Al Qaeda. All it is missing is a charismatic leader who plans and executes violence. Because Trump is a sniveling coward he only hints at and condones violence. He is after all nothing but a puffed up celebrity -- famous for being famous, with no other skills. Now imagine a genuine tactician, with a Plan, running the show. Everything is already there for him to exploit: infrastructure, communications, a self-deluded rationalization of violence in the service of The Cause, and millions of spiteful, angry, brainwashed, well-armed foot soldiers.

All they need is a leader.

Odds are that if (when?) Clinton passes 270, Pence will be the one to call Clinton.
I was just thinking about that topic this weekend. My thought was Trump tweets out some nonsense concession/non-concession when the time comes.

In fairness, it is the liberals, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, Jews, and feminists keeping them from sweeping every election by 20 points. Where they're wrong is that they're no longer the majority, and there's a reason all those groups can keep them from winning every election.

The odds of a sincere concession are zero.

The odds of a passive-aggressive, surly, adolescent concession vary directly with Hillary's winning margin. We need to really run up the score.

Here's a thought. If the Good Guys can pick up a few novel states (Arizona, Georgia) the news coverage will be about the people in those states and what they want -- they crossed party lines and rejected the GOP. But if it's just another election with exactly the same scoreboard the news coverage will be all about Trump and what new inanity he launches.

A drubbing can minimize Trump, and that actually helps the GOP more than the Dems.

Rover, I think you are vastly underestimating how angry they are going to be that their racist worldview was soundly rejected.

Their racist worldview has been rejected twice in a row already. As I said I don't expect these people to calm down, even if Trump delivers a concession speech akin to the Gettysburg Address. What you can take comfort in is Trump appeals overwhelmingly to two groups of people. 1) Old people, as those in their 60's and 70's (frankly the WW2 generation still left doesn't seem to care for him, probably because they're seen Fascism in practice in their lifetimes) and 2) Uneducated rural people.

Both of these groups are shrinking rapidly. Subsequently their influence dwindles with each passing year. I just don't think a bunch of 70+ year old are going to have the stamina to ferment a revolution. They will continue to be your crazy uncle ruining family get togethers. But, their champions will keep losing elections until they no longer have the influence to hijack one of our two political parties. I'd be far, far more concerned if young people were buying Trump's schtick while it was the older voters holding the line.

The f-ck is wrong with old, white males? I am an old, white male and I am embarrassed that my demo is Trump +11. Good God, people -- put on your big girl panties and start participating in the real world again.

You're not in his demographic sweet spot. Its generally people born in the late 30's to the early 50's. That crosses generations but its people who don't remember the shared sacrifice of the Depression and WW2, but also think the world revolves around them and long for an Ozzie and Harriet America.

There are young people but they're a small minority. That's what happens when you keep your kids from "mixing," pump them full of Old Testament vengeful God poison, and turn them loose on message boards like Freep that make MRA people say, "whoa, dude, maybe a little perspective here..?"

We have our Hitlerjugend, but so far they only jerk each off at shooting ranges and Trump rallies. But they're out there.

Hmm, that could be. That was the 80s cash grab engine of the Reagan Revolution. The Worst Generation. :p
