Second, the comparison to 1920 is kind of fascinating because of the similarities between Harding and Trump. It really shows how far we've come.

To get the straight font states above you need 5 more points. The italic, 10 more points, the bold italic, from 12 to 15 more points, and that's from now which is Trump's nadir, down 6.9 points. If you know anybody who thinks Trump is going to lose the popular vote by 31 points you need to question them whether they are under the care of a physician. Harding beat Cox in 1920 by "only" 26 points -- the largest popular vote margin since 1796.
