Silver's mentioned a couple times that Congress tends to break late

USA Today taking the temperature of the American public without asking "that" question:

I'd say Trump had similar polling info because he seems to constantly bang on 1, 2, 3 (jobs), 4, 5, 7, and 10.

And no one with a pulse should believe he can deliver on at the very least 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7, and quite probably not on 10 either.

Had someone ask me which candidate I think should be most trusted being in charge of a nuclear arsenal (asked obviously with the intent of thinking he had a 'gotcha'). I said I couldn't answer such an insanely stupid question with a straight face, but that if he'd like the two of us should Google, "trump nuclear weapons" and then formulate an answer but he declined.

Not sure this is worth all the fury. The way I read is, the guy is answering (when asked) that it's not his job to make sure someone else goes out and votes. It's up to the individual to become educated enough to make the best choice for themselves. If you somehow disagree, fine. But is that the hill you want to die on? Relax.

This.

And someone earlier said (haven't looked back, and don't want to falsely accuse) "if one doesn't vote, that person is a coward." So if I decide to write in someone who has zero chance of winning, I somehow am NOT a coward? How silly is that?

Courage in voting happens in other countries where you might be punished or killed for voting for the wrong candidate. Not here. You show up at some building, mark your vote, and move on. Yeah, takes bravery to do that.

I didnt say it but if you choose not to vote because of actual reasons you are not a coward. If you do it just cause (and like it or not that is kinda what Rowe is saying) than that is lazy and totally weak. At least have a reason...it can be a lame reason but at least have something otherwise you are just acting rather childish IMHO.

Agreed. Don't vote just because (insert celebrity or "normal" person) told you to. That's what I got out of Rowe's comments.

Right except Rowe is telling people NOT to vote which is no better. His opinion is no more right than theirs which is what I was saying yesterday. if celebrities shouldnt tell you to vote they shouldnt tell you not to vote.

In other news:

A Nightmare Scenario

Oh no no no. He's saying don't vote if the only reason is someone TELLING you to vote.

For his PERSONAL opinion, he hopes (as you and I do) that you educate yourself before voting (or not voting). That is how I interpreted his comments.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXI: Do you love farce? My fault, I fear.

I don't understand not voting at all just because you don't like the presidential candidates. There are plenty of other positions and proposals to vote for that in the end will probably end up having a bigger impact on your life than the president. That school board member will be hiring superintendents and proposing millages for your child's school, city council will set property taxes, and your state Supreme Court could set precedent for the rest of the nation.

Just because the GOP sent the worst candidate in history, you don't like HRC for whatever reason, and Gary Johnson doesn't know what Aleppo is, doesn't mean you should just ignore what's happening in your own neighborhood.
