Campaign 2016 Part XXI: Do you love farce? My fault, I fear.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXI: Do you love farce? My fault, I fear.

I'm cool with these except Hillary. Although she is the attorney, she's the first female senior partner in the white shoe firm who fought her way past all the as-sholes in the 70s and 80s and does not suffer fools gladly. If you are valuable to the firm she will treat you well. The moment you become a problem you will be gone before you even see it coming.

I'll maybe accept that, but would change "valuable to firm" to "useful to her", and I wonder what YOU mean by ... "gone". ;)

But I stand by my "you always wonder what side deal for herself is she cutting".

If I had a business, Trump would be nowhere near it. In any form.

Kepler is right, this guy is a lawsuit magnet. Even if you were in the right, you're going to be settling out of court a hell of a lot.

I still find that stunning, assuming we don't have Perot level 3rd party turnout. All of my experience tells me that on Election Day the vast majority are still going to pull that lever for the guy with their letter after the name, just like you still root for your team even if you hate your coach.

Voting is so tribal now I can't imagine a candidate getting less than say 80% of his party's voters unless they go third party. These people have had "Hillary is the actual devil" pumped into their blood surrogate since birth. They're going to vote for Trump purely on muscle memory.

peeps will stay home.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXI: Do you love farce? My fault, I fear.

Trump defenders argue that movable airplane armrests weren't invented in the early '80's so obviously one of the accusers is lying.

Internet responds with: Yes they do. And your boy is still a creep.

Here was my thought process on this (because I like aiplanes): If the flight was from Miami, that's probably Eastern and they did fly L-1011's in the 80's. If it was from say, Chicago, that means American or United and neither flew L-1011's as they were almost exclusively Boeing fleets. So where was it from??? I'll just check the article...

Welp... turns out it just says "a flight to New York." And then it just says "in the early 80's."

Now that doesn't speak at all to veracity of the claim, but it is awfully vague for THE New York Times, especially given the seriousness of the charge, and the fact that it's leveled against a nominee for POTUS, 28 days before the election.

It makes it awfully hard for anyone else to attempt to verify, and impossible for Trump to try to defend himself against it in just the next 4 weeks, given that no one knows (or isn't saying) when or where the alleged assault actually happened.

Probably just a simple oversight on the Times' part though.

:) If we could recover all the money republicans spent trying to prove that accusation and all the other false scandals against the Clintons, there would be enough money to pay the entire federal deficit Bill left behind for Dubya. Oh wait . . .

I meant to say that if we could recover all the money republicans spent trying to prove that accusation and all the other false scandals against the Clintons, there would be enough money to pay at least a tiny portion of the 290 billion dollar federal deficit GHWB left behind for Clinton.

did the last 8 years not happen? that's racist to think it didn't!!! :(

Thanks, I forgot to include how King Bama (bows here) saved the Republic from the worst financial crisis since the depression, including the 150B Dubya threw at it as he walked out the door.

Seeing that, ...

Kep, you gonna start a final prediction thread? Predict the total turnout and overall popular vote percentages?

I'll play! Dem early voting is up vs 2012 which is a real good sign. Now of course more people take advantage of early voting now than did 4 years ago, but still, the fact that Trump's ground game is practically non-existent AND he's pulling out of Virginia 4 weeks before the election isn't a good sign.

So, Hill/Gropey the Clown/Jerry Garcia/Dr. Strangelove becomes 51/42/6/1.

Jill Stein is freakin nuts so 1% (about 1.5M votes) is about right for fringe lefty lunatics.

Gary Johnson will win Stoner vote in states with legal pot on the ballot provided his fans aren't too whacked out to fill in the right oval. He'll also get some GOP refugees fleeing Trump.

Trump is winning about 80% of the GOP vote. If Mittens got 47% of the vote, I predict no more than 10% of the GOP base defects to Hillary, and the rest go to Johnson. This pushes him down to about 42%, proving the vast majority of Republicans are craven a ssholes :D

That leaves Hillary who will get a boost over what you would think from 1) educated voters ditching Trump, and 2) women voters both looking to shove it up Trump's a ss sideways while also jumping on the bandwagon to elect the first woman President now that it looks like she'll win.

3rd terms are hard to win. 6 out of 7 in the popular vote is unprecedented in the history of the Republic for one party.

Sure. I figure we'll run the last poll a few days after the last debate, then run the final prediction starting on 11/1.

I'll bet everybody waits until the last day, though. Does anybody really think we won't have November news with Trump? :p

You're saying devil. Hmmmmm. Is she related to Karellen??

Well, with the right's racism, sexism, homophobia, Christianist hegemony, militarism and nationalism on the wane, this could finally be Childhood's End. :)

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXI: Do you love farce? My fault, I fear.

History doesn't repeat, but it rhymes.

After all the attacks on, roughly in order, Mexicans, Muslims, women, the handicapped, Crooked Hillary, Mexicans again, the liberal media, o-BOM-a, POWs, gold star families, The Blacks (they love him), women again, Republicans, the conservative media, and women again again, Trump and his people have finally gotten to the bottom of the conspiracy against America. The envelope please...

It's the Jews.
