They have probably dealt with each other enough to be on friendly enough terms to help each other out. Not to mention I bet they both know where the other's bodies are buried...

Not Cuomo's biggest fan but I agree. Purely for self preservation why would he even consider getting involved with this? If he told his appointee to stop talking to the press I can see that and there's nothing wrong with that. However I can't see why he'd agree to participate in a cover up? This is the NYT covering the story so they do have a tendency to leap before they look.

1) there must be a 'traffic study' or 'political payback' scheme every friggin' day, cause mookie never been in line to cross the GWB that didn't take 4hrs +

2) what is the use of being elected governor if you can't stick it to some po-dunk mayor in this town or that.

C) can't this DA's and US atty do get some drug kingpin instead? find someone worthwhile to arrest and jail.

Anyone going to watch the Veeps debate tonight? Any chance they'll actually talk policy details?

This election cycle is so upside down. The tops of the tickets are attack dog barking at the other and we have to hope Veeps talk policy.

I posted this earlier in the year - my biggest fear about Trump becoming President is who he would pick as his running mate. Because we all know Trump is going to delegate everything to his VP. He just wants to BE President, and win, and do all the event stuff. And Mike Pence doing President stuff scares the bejeezus out of me.

Hadn't thought of it that way, but it's true. :p

Yes, I will watch the debate. I don't think either is particularly boring. Pence, in particle, is theocon enough to keep me up at night, though DS doesn't seem to agree.

Speaking of DS, this is a shout out to joecct who IINM often mentions R. J. Neuhaus. I found it interesting.

The Bushes were completely out of touch as well. They managed to pull it off because they had the self-awareness to understand they were out of touch and they got image consultants and advisers to teach them how to fake it.

The Trumps lack the basic tools to evaluate themselves from another person's perspective. They seem to genetically lack awareness.
