Reports indicate that the first debate question from the moderators will be about Trump’s comments to Billy Bush. Clinton gets to respond first. Would hope her response is something like this:
In your not quite apology, you say these words are not who you are. In fact those words and actions are just part of who you are. You’re the man:
who labeled Mexicans as rapists
who advocates torture and illegal seizure of foreign assets,
who attacked an American-born judge for his Mexican ethnicity,
who mocked a journalist’s physical disability.
who stiffed hundreds of contractors causing many to lose they businesses,
who refused to rent apartment properties to African Americans and was charge with housing discrimination,
who vilified and attack the Central Park Five for a sexual assault they didn’t commit and even after they were exonerated, you attacked them again,
who repeatedly tweeted lies about crime statistics involving African Americans, trade deficits and tax rates; and
who lied for years about President’s Obama’s citizenship.
This kind of response not only broadens the argument for Trump’s unfitness beyond the Access Hollywood tape and puts him even more on the defensive from the getgo.
