Campaign 2016 Part XVII: If debates are great theater, I think this one closes early

No. Hillary's Basket is NEVER going away just like Romney's 47% never went away.

Yes, it will. The mainstream media will focus on health because it's now out there in the public eye. It'll fade just like Mr. Obama's (paraphrased) cling to guns and religion is only brought out as a talisman when the dialog wanders that direction.

Adams has Business Engineer Disease: because you can fix tech problems you start thinking your opinion automatically matters on other topics. Spoiler: it doesn't.

Yes it does if you're on the board of an organization with about a quarter billion dollars in book assets, a board with a 30% stake of another organization with about a billion dollars of assets on the balance sheet.

So, is Clinton throwing the election? Between the "HALF" comment and her health it sure looks like it.

Dear Hillary,

Yes, there is a double standard. Yes, you could lose because of it.

A Voter.

Yes, she intentionally gave herself pneumonia to throw the election.

Those qualifications kinda negate the "automatic" part.

If they're undecided, then they wouldn't be included by definition since they aren't Trump supporters.

Your concern trolling is getting worse by the day.

If they were on the fence, does it cause them to question how they're thought about by a particular candidate.

I know "concern trolling" is the new cool-kid "kinda hip, kinda now, kinda cool, kinda wow*" phrase, but this is the internet, where people can share thoughts. Calling it that is dismissive of the real possibility that Mrs. Clinton did harm herself with a portion of the undecideds.

*Sincere apologies to Dan Cole @ KFAN.

*Who takes their MD to a 9/11 Memorial service, other than a very sick person.**

This is a very good point, and I'm glad we have your discerning mind with us to point it out. I mean, when you think about it, why would a woman who's primary residence is in Chappaqua, a whopping 15 miles outside of NYC, have a doctor somewhere in the NYC area? And why would that doctor perhaps be more likely to find themselves in NYC on any given day, being that it's a relatively small fishing village with no major population concentration? Any why would that doctor be there on 9/11, a day which holds no significance whatsoever to people in the greater NYC area and would be hosting no events of personal relevance for them?

I think you're on to something here and you need to dig further. We just can't have you wasting your talent here on a meaningless hockey board when there are so many unsolved crimes remaining!

I don't think Obama's statement (also to a fund raiser, and thus perceived as more "sincere") has ever gone away. It's actually very similar, because (a) it's un-PC and (b) it's correct.

It's funny that Trump and his people wailed that they wanted our discourse to be unhindered by political correctness, and now they are squealing about Hillary telling it like it is.

"Concern trolling" is as old as the internet. Just because some haven't heard the term before doesn't mean it's new.

It's actually not exactly fitting in this case. "Concern trolling" in the perfect sense is when an opponent infiltrates a discussion in bad faith and tries to sideline it or return it to semantics but introducing an apparently concerned position, when his real aim is to disrupt or divide. When FreshFish first started posting around here he did frequently but we called him on it every time and eventually he retreated to other tactics (including actually engaging in real discussion around a third of the time now -- our little boy is growing up! ;) )

The Hillary Health argument is simply an attempt to inception the electorate with concerns about her health. In all fairness it's a different trick, not "concern trolling," but because of the apparent concern (when in actuality the poster does not give a rat's a-ss about the person and only wants to score points) makes it an inevitable usage.

So they just magically crossed paths in that large crowd? My, what coincidence, what happenstance ...

Folks here need to get over the fact that Hillary had a really, really, bad, trifecta-bad weekend.

I have $20 that says Trump won't be able to stand for that and will go for the superfecta-bad weekend before October is here.

Concern trolling is only a new phrase to someone who thinks pop culture died with Elvis, gramps.

I got some of Hillary's allergies, no, dehydration, no, pneumonia, that's it, pneumonia, and it's made me woozy. :D

(I hope I don't fall, hit my head, and forget everything that I'm still required to know about handling classified information even though I haven't had an active clearance in quite a while. ;) )

The zombie walk was bad.

"Deplorables" is a win in the long game. Every time Trumpies bring it up moderates will think, "yeah, well, you do have Neo-Nazis working on your campaign and supporting you, so me thinks the Lady doth protest too much."

I'm not up on my Drudge so I don't know what the third one is.
